2. conservative think-tanks and conservative media
has allowed, at a snails pace, what were once unthinkable ideas to become reality.

9/11 coverup
traitorgate - revenge against whistleblowers
privatizing SS
free-trade agreements - shipping job overseas
abusing the UN

on and on...

5. Getting rid of the Fairness Doctrine - thus freeing press from honesty
"For many years, television and radio stations were required to give equal time to opposing sides of public or political issues to ensure the American public heard all sides of a debate. It was a requirement made by the Federal Communications Commission that came to be known as The Fairness Doctrine.

In 1986, a federal court ruled that the Fairness Doctrine did not have the force of law and could be overturned without congressional approval. Congress passed a bill to make the doctrine law but the bill was vetoed by President Reagan in 1987 and the Fairness Doctrine was abolished."

7. NO Ac'plshmts. Nothing going backward, can b calld an accomplishment
only progress can ever be called a true accomplishment.

Progress is lowering human suffering.

GOP has no accomplishments since it turned RW about.. ? 19OO,... and never will have.

It is a zero.

9. Selling idea that we are unfair to rich& should trade rights for security
The latter one can make a case for - albeit an UnAmerican case since the Idea of America was individual freedom.

The idea that the Rich are picked on with a DEATH TAX and HIGH INCOME TAX BRACKETS and REGULATIONS and KEEPING A COMMON TO BE USED BY NON-RICH AT LOW OR NO COST is a result of media control

The DEATH TAX/estate tax is in lieu of taxing capital gains on transfer of assets at death - and was requested by the rich as they paid less this way and did not have to keep records of how much they owned and how they got that wealth. But you will not find that fact given print or air time in your local media.

I do love my not right wing controlled media - they just act that way.
