That argument was knocked down by Graham, but what I found interesting about Sessions today was his insistence that the Executive branch have an override ability on military law. Scary fascist stuff.
Funny how a few Republicans are scrambling to condemn prisoner abuse - they must be worried that if this new batch of photos/video are indeed released, the GOP will bear (deservedly) the full brunt of public fury. At least Graham and Warner and McCain aren't acting as administration puppets on this as Sessions is - but I think it's more CYA and electoral survival than anything else.
the good Mr. Sessions has if someone from his home state has the grave misfortune to be mistreated in any way. He has no moral leg to stand on when he explains to the family how wrong "those enemy combatants" are...
