15. Well, I think Usama is number one, and everyone else is tied for third
Except the people who blow themselves up. They are all tied for fourth.

Wonder where Cat Stevens fits in...

3. This is bullshit, pure and simple...
Remember the video of the shooting of Ronald Reagan by would-be assassin and Bush family-friend John Hinckley? Remember how when he fired, many Secret Service, law officers, and security agents were all over him? So now we being told that this man threw a grenade at the President of the US--with perhaps the best security force in the world--yet "got away" and is only now being apprehended? :eyes:

6. president
The only President in history that I know of that
the VP gets better security, other then the JFK
assasination when the secret service protected LBJ
more then JFK

Bush Sept 11th stays in the classroom looking dumbfounded
while they wisk away Cheney to an undisclosed location.

Bush on his bike, when a so called terrorist cessna
enters restricted airspace, they let him ride,
they wisk Cheney off.

7. You're right! Where was Cheney when the grenade was thrown?
If he were there, they probably would have piled on him to shelter him from fragments.

With Bush they probably shouted "Think fast, sir!"

4. what I found interesting is how little media play this story got
you'd think they would've milked an attack on Fearless Leader for a few weeks at least.

8. Like we care.
It takes a lot of gall for this administration to think we care about his existence; let alone, care that someone else has made his opinions known.

9. This was all a BS stunt.
If the security detail can shield rotten eggs Chimpy then you'd think they could keep a live grenade from him.

11. Bush League (no pun intended)...
Edited on Wed Jul-20-05 05:00 PM by Totally Committed
If Bush was serious about taking the attention and the heat off of Rove, he would have nominated Hillary Clinton to the Supreme Court. Can you imagine the media frenzy? No one would be talking about Rove, and in the end, Hillary would never be confirmed.

But, every minute until her nomination was shot down in flames would have been a MSM spectacle. He blew it!

17. With all due respect, not all news is a Rove diversion.
The Court nomination coming out so fast--yes, that was a Rove-inspired moment. They do this stuff, obviously. But the possibility might just exist that it took the cops over there some time to hunt down who the suspect was, since he got away from the scene when it first happened. Let's employ a little Occam's Razoring before making another conspiracy appear.

Among other things to consider is the fact that this really isn't going to be that big of a story.
