Why did the Dems let themselves be set up by the rumored
Clement nomination? Lou "that's bullshit" Dobbs is saying their talking points against Clement are "ludicrous, she isn't even the nominee." Hasn't anyone learned about Repuke disinformation by now?

Lou's an ass, but the Dems were set up by the White House again.

1. Bill Schneider set Lou straight though,,,
Said that the Rethugs also thought Clement was going to be the pick. Now they're guessing it will be the "other Edith" :eyes:

4. Schneider is like somebody's uncle who wants to please
everybody. The harm was done before he got a chance to open his mouth. The Dems walked into a trap, forgetting the prime directive, "if a Republican's lips are moving he's lying."

7. Dems circulated talking points against Clement. Media had
copy, now they are saying she's not the nominee.

13. Oh, Thanks!
I hadn't heard that. Yeah, I guess it would be beneficial to know who the candidate is before you send out talking points.

14. Kennedy, for one, is popping off
I love the guy, but I have to admit that spouting off without knowing the actual nominee looks really stupid.

16. The CAFTA posts
get very few replies. Not to many people seem to care about it.I've seen many anti american car posts. And there are as many anti-union responses on union type posts as pro union.I didn't mean to paint a broad brush,I used the word many I think, but Lou Dobbs talks about the job issue everyday,And if he thinks someone is spinning something no matter which side he'll call them out. He's also civil with people whether he agrees with them or not.

8. Dems took a hit before the fight even started. Sort of like when
Bush gave Saddam 48 hours and then bombed him before they were up.

12. Repukes will say Dems are against any nominee, and cite this
as proof, which will appeal to their unthinking base. Doesn't "ludicrous" strike you as a word that shouldn't be applied to our side?

15. Republicans say a lot if idiotic and untrue things daily.
I don't agree with you at all that this alleged fake-out is more a cause for panty-wadding and undie-bundling than the actual quality of these floated names as judicial appointments.

Hearings will probably begin in August. Instead of convulsing that we didn't guess the name before 9 p.m. Eastern Time, we should focus our energies on seeing that our interests are represented, as much as possible, at those hearings and in the confirmation/rejection process.

17. Maybe this means no more to the outcome of the game than
the guy from our team sliding into second when the throw was to first, but I hate to see someone get their uniform dirty unnecessarily.

I like Lou, too.
Often don't agree with his positions, but he's consistent, seems straight forward and honest, is passionate about issues he really believes in (border security, exporting America) and doesn't read from anyone's talking points.

18. Clement = classic disinfo
The Clement ruse was classic disinformation from the Bush
camp. We saw it the first time when he first picked Cheney for
VP back in 2000... Cheney was supposedly just the head of the
search committee.

20. Hi thanks
I'm mostly just a reader but I was surprised not to see people raising flags about that earlier so I figured I'd throw 2c in.
