1. Bush doesn't have any choice in the matter
He's never been running the country. The people that are running the country have told him that he has no choice but to keep Rove

3. I agree, Lynne...
Chimpy is just following orders, as usual.

Still, getting the 'too weak' meme out there couldn't hurt. When it all comes down, the chimp will still be joined at the hip to Rove, and that's a good thing!

Bush may be too stubborn to get rid of Rove, but it has nothing to do with weakness. The bottom line is that he's too DEPENDENT upon Rove to get rid of him--dependent as in addicted. It's time to start asking "Is he REALLY in charge?" and give specific examples of why he should be called out as the hapless, powerless, empty figurehead that he is.

24. Cuckoobananas and his partners in ethical lapses
(GOP senators after today's press conference)are terrified and can't imagine fighting fairly and with actual facts. Cuckoo demands a "dignified" confirmation process. What the hell was dignified about his wild-eyed presser yesterday and his hypo-manic bizarro appearance today?

There is no dignity in harboring suspected felons at the expense of good patriotic Americans' tax money, and in the capital home of the free world, too boot.

Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 12:27 PM by ClassWarrior
...Lakoff, you know that it's unacceptable for a "strict father" to be weak. So saying he's "too weak" cuts directly to the core of why many people believe in Bush**. On the other hand, a strict father may actually "choose not to" hold his people accountable for his own reasons - and that's seen as strength.

Just trying to be strategic here.

front man for this lying fascist corporate right-wing government that we live under.

Bush has no real power, he makes NO decisions on his own. He is told what to say and do...No doubt Bush agrees with it all, never having worked for anything in his life, and a miserable failure at EVERY business he was able to get his hands on...including the presidency.

But still this clown, idiot front man must go...Bush being the good old boy, who sells the bullshit lies to the country that his handlers want said and sold.

They need that front man, as they learned with the Reagan. Just get some "cowboy" out there to sell the bullshit, the people will want to believe and will eat it all up, while the corporate media will be reinforcing the bullshit and shoving it down our throats.

Bush just keeps on sailing through the disgusting stink and sludge of all the bullshit!

Kind of like Rush deciding the laws don't apply to him, since you know, after all, he's Rush Limbaugh.

Rather like supporting the war until it's YOUR kid who's gotta go.

Not to mention that being Republican means never having to say you're sorry.

22. Bu$h is picking loyalty to a friend
over loyalty to his country.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

This is the oath that Bu$h has taken twice to put the country about every thing else. He seems to have forgotten.

27. I love it. Framing the meme so Bush can only lose.
The problem, of course, is even if he fires Rove officially, Rove unofficially will continue to be just as active as he is now with his dirty tricks.

But firing Rove would be the first action which shows an admission from this cabal that they have had undesireables in their ranks.
