Limbaugh-Hannity - Wilson smear campaign-effective-YES-NO?
Limbaugh-Hannity-Laura Ingrams are doing their best to discredit Joe Wilson - do you think they're helping or hurting the White House credibility?

1. Hurting WH
Wilson's calm, cool reasoned delivery on the talk shows makes Cool Hand Luke look like a flake.

2. Hurting
Only the dumbest of the dumb don't realize that Wilson's credibility has nothing to do with Rove's treason.

3. If you're trying to convince people that someone is a liar
Rush Limpballs and Sean inShannity aren't exactly the best people to use.

4. helping
I don't think that wilson is helping his argument out. By going on the type of media campaign he has I feel he is hurting his credibility in the press. Look at how they are treating him, you can actually watch the press turn against him.

7. Hmmm...
I hadn't looked at it that way.

I've seen Wilson present himself well, with reasoned fact-based and logical arguments that support his positions on both the yellow-cake lies told by the administration and the deliberate attempt to damage his wife in retribution for his NYT op-ed piece on the yellow-cake lies.

The idea that his speaking well in public, defending himself and demanding justice for the harm done to him and his wife, hurts his argument hadn't occurred to me. Perhaps you are right. Perhaps the case should instead be made by the talking heads and media whores who have failed to tell the truth so consistently and so deliberately in the past.

11. I was thinking more on the lines of the vanity fair piece
For a pair to be so concerned about their cover being blown, getting out in front of the camera so much doesn't help their case IMHO. Mainly because it allows the talking heads to attack them in that respect. And I think it can be conveyed to the public in a very convincing (though untrue) manner.

6. No one but the die-hard RW-nuts will accept what Limbaugh/Hannity
have to say. They have been discredited so many times in the past, only the nonthinking bushbots believe anything they say. When Limbaugh says, "the sky is blue"; people look outside to see if he's telling the truth...

The only thing they can do, is harm the administration...there are just too many lies to contend with, and the WH crew is in panic mode.

9. Wilson could take on all three of them and win hands down. They
have nothing but lies to go on and Wilson has the truth. I would love to see Hannity take on Wilson - Joe would wipe the floor with him.

10. helping
Remember, the White House basically wasn't fighting back the first few days this was out. Now Rush, Hannity and the gang have another side fo the story out there for people to hear. People are damn sure going to believe their story over 'we're not going to comment on an ongoing investigation'

12. Me thinks they protest to much! Wilson is on the money with the truth.
The WH never had credibility to begin with.
