Bolton, Cheney and Ledeen Were On the Board of Advisers of JINSA
I'm trying to connect dots for myself today. I think it was Al Franken, yesterday, who said that if he were in the White House press corp, he'd ask if Bolton was connected to the Plame outing. While researching Ledeen, I googled <Cheney Ledeen> and Bolton popped up unexpectedly.

From Right Web - Exposing The architecture of power that's changing our world: A Profile of JINSA (Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs)

"In recent years, JINSA (Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs) was one of the groups that most strongly supported the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq. Former head of the Pentagon’s Defense Policy Board, Richard Perle, is a member of JINSA’s Board of Advisers and serves as a spokesman in furthering JINSA’s goals. Other former advisory board members include Dick Cheney, John Bolton, and Douglas Feith. Former administration officials from the Reagan era are James Woolsey, Jeane Kirkpatrick, and Michael Ledeen. Many individuals with defense backgrounds and affiliations serve on the board of advisers and are involved in numerous contracts with Israel. Leon Edney, David Jeremiah, and Charles May, former armed forces officers, have all been consultants to Northrop Grumman, which has built Israeli ships and planes. May, Paul Cerjan and Carlisle Trost have also worked for Lockheed Martin, which has sold F-16s, flight simulators, and rocket systems to Israel. Trost is a member of the board of General Dynamics, whose subsidiary Gulfstream has a $206 million contract with the Pentagon. (4)"

Ledeen is a neocon who may have been involved with the forged Italian documents.

See the paragraph in an article - "Shouldn't Dick Cheney Be Impeached?"
I know it's a Larouche site! But the content talks about how Cheney and Ledeen are connected. I'm not a Larouche follower. Here's the snippet so no one has to go click the link.
"After he left the position of Secretary of Defense in the Bush "41" Administration, Cheney again hooked up with the Libby/Wolfowitz circle, joining the International Advisory Board of JINSA. JINSA was founded by three of Israeli intelligence's leading agents in America: Dr. Stephen Bryen, who was investigated for passing classified information to the Israelis from the Senate in 1978; Richard Perle; and Michael Ledeen. All three JINSA big-wigs were named as members of the circle known as the "X Committee" behind the espionage of the convicted spy for Israel, Jonathan Jay Pollard."

3. That's right...all the same agenda for world control at any price.
It's why you see the same names recycled EVERYWHERE. There biggest coup was getting the stupid Fundies on board with the Rapture.

5. Makes me wonder why Bolton is in the weeds right now
For an 'in your face' individual, he's disappeared.

16. Exactly
They use the fundies for votes and pander to them a little bit and give them enough to keep them voting. They really could care less about them and what they believe. Just from my viewing. But with this group from PNAC you better believe they'll be the same people. It's all about secreacy and loyalty.

4. He's suspected of links to the AIPAC/Franklin Spy Scandal, too
If this source is credible.

(note: I have no idea who Barry O'Connell is, and I hope I'm not stepping off into unreliable or offensive territory here.) I see nothing objectionable or outrageous, so I will go ahead and post:
<<snip>>
Barry O'Connell's Opinion
AIPAC/Franklin Spy Scandal Spreads to The Whitehouse
As the spy scandal unfolds it now appears to spread further than AIPAC, AEI, and the Pentagon. Michael Ledeen an ultra-Zionist Likudnik believed to be an Israeli agent is a key foreign Policy Advisor to Karl Rove. Rove who is known as a small man in a big job counts on a number of marginal fringe players for advice. Of all of his oddball advisors Michael Ledeen certainly acts like an agent of influence of a foreign government.

And more from same site:
Notes on Michael Ledeen

Image seen on tvset.org/kwiatkowski_04.html
Michael Ledeen is at the center of the AIPAC Spy Scandal. There is speculation that he is one of the top Mossad agents in the US. This is nothing new for Ledeen even as far back as the early 1980 it is alleged that the CIA listed Ledeen as an agent of influence of Israel (http:/www.counterpunch.org/green02282004.html). By looking at at Ledeen's close associations we can see the spider's web of Mossad. Ledeen is a protégé of Richard Perle a man who has long been suspected of being a Mossad agent. That speculation gained acceptance starting with the time a 1970 wiretap recorded Perle giving classified information to Israel. Ledeen colluded with another Mossad operative Manucher Ghorbanifar to lure America into the scandal that came to be called Iran Contra. Ledeen and Ghorbanifar again surface to use Larry Franklin and Harold Rhode to manipulate American foreign policy. Perhaps most dangerously Ledeen is the main foreign policy advisor to Karl Rove.

Here's an excerpt from the Karen Kwiatkowski article he links to:

http://tvset.org/kwiatkowski_04.html

In November, my Insider articles discussed the artificial worlds created by the Pentagon and the stupid naiveté of neocon assumptions about what would happen when we invaded Iraq. I discussed the price of public service, distinguishing between public servants who told the truth and then saw their careers flame out and those "public servants" who did not tell the truth and saw their careers ignite. My December articles became more depressing, discussing the history of the 100 Years' War and "combat lobotomies." There was a painful one titled "Minority Reports" about the necessity but unlikelihood of a Philip Dick sci-fi style "minority report" on Feith-Wolfowitz-Rumsfeld-Cheney's insanely grandiose vision of some future Middle East, with peace, love and democracy brought on through preemptive war and military occupation. MichaelLedeen.jpg

pictured:

I shared some of my concerns with a civilian who had been remotely acquainted with the Luti-Feith-Perle political clan in his previous work for one of the senior Pentagon witnesses during the Iran-Contra hearings. He told me these guys were engaged in something worse than Iran-Contra. I was curious but he wouldn't tell me anything more. I figured he knew what he was talking about. I thought of him when I read much later about the 2002 and 2003 meetings between Michael Ledeen, Reuel Marc Gerecht and Iranian arms dealer Manucher Ghorbanifar -- all Iran-Contra figures.

9. Thanks. Yeah, I had seen the rugs and carpets thing...
And then read a little about his background--he noted "my father did a tour at the Pentagon." Seems his blog is just a compilation of politics, middle east articles and such, mostly mainstream. Just trying to steer clear of anti-semetic or offensive sites--it's a touchy thing when discussing PNAC, et. al.

In addition to PNAC, AEI, and all the other think tanks that billions of dollars over the last 30 years have bought them.

They're not playing this game to just give up if they lose an election or two. They're in this for the long term, and they've got all the money in the world. Not to mention bombs, lots and lots of bombs. All built from Northrop Grumman, Lockheed, Honeywell, Raytheon, the list goes on. And they also have a god, or the God, or something, on their side as well thanks to the reconstructionists and dominionists.

Hell of a web.

13. Well, as someone said - this is the stuff that keeps us awake at night
They're all linked. Cheney, Bolton - you name them, they've been discussed here. But I hadn't come across Ledeen before. I was in the dark on the discussions of the background of the bogus Italian documents.

Here's a tidbit on Bolton with a Ledeen reference in the American Prospect:
"So here’s what we know: In one area, and in only one area that we know of (Iran), Bolton kept information from his superiors and pursued an agenda that was more hard line than others in the administration were comfortable with. It also happens to be the case that the matters on which Bolton freelanced had to do specifically with the United Nations’ handing of Iran-related issues.

It’s hardly going out on a limb, given all this background, to suggest that UN Ambassador John Bolton might hit Turtle Bay with a certain agenda in mind with regard to Iran -- an agenda, his history on the topic indicates, that might not even square with that of his boss, the president. Small wonder that Ledeen told The New York Sun back on January 24, “I love John Bolton.” "

14. And from your other related thread
I just posted this article there, but here's an interesting thing I wasn't aware of--his connection to Italian right-wingers:

<<snip>>
And terrorism has been Ledeen's bread and butter since at least the late 1970s, when he consulted for Italian military intelligence, which in turn enabled him to expose Billy Carter's dealings with the Muammar Gaddafi regime in Libya to the great satisfaction of Republicans, who were revving up their campaign against Billy's brother, then president Jimmy Carter.

Ledeen's right-wing Italian connections - including alleged ties to the P-2 Masonic Lodge that rocked Italy in the early 1980s - have long been a source of speculation and intrigue, but he returned to Washington in 1981 as "anti-terrorism" advisor to the new secretary of state, Al Haig.
