FUNNY Letter to Editor Supporting Rove Needs Punchline.
Here is the letter.

http://www.dfw.com/mld/dfw/news/opinion/local2/12149343.htm

"It should be no surprise to the Star-Telegram that the credibility and integrity of the media are very much in question. I need only cite the sad examples of Dan Rather and Mary Mapes of CBS, Matthew Cooper of Time and Judith Miller of The New York Times.

"Journalists don't have special privileges to break the law or make up stories.

"It's Bob Ray Sanders' opinion, as he wrote in his Wednesday column, that Rove "should be fired immediately." It's my opinion that the Star-Telegram is contributing to irresponsible journalism by giving Sanders a forum to demonstrate his inability to gather facts, do his homework and think logically."

David R. R., Cleburne

YOU supply the puchline.

3. Because if Sanders had gathered the facts, done his homework
and thought logically, he would have said that the whole administration is corrupt and Rove was the mouthpiece for blowing the cover of a CIA agent.

4. We already have a forum for people
who are unable to gather facts, do their homework and think logically.
We call it the WH.

6. Here’s my favorite LTTE from a Rove supporter.
From today’s Star Tribune http://www.startribune.com/stories/1519/5509259.html

"Bush, Rove, Plame, Wilson, blah, blah, blah. Who cares?

Does anyone remember Saddam Hussein -- the guy who really did diss the United Nations, wage truly unprovoked, aggressive war and fill the ground with uncounted innocent dead human beings? His behavior is the scandal, and he is the one responsible for the present and past suffering of the Iraqi people."

--John Dooley, Hopkins.

In trying to understand the point of this mind-boggling piece of logic, the best I can come up with is because Saddam was a very bad man, it is ok anyone else to be bad...just less bad. Using his logic all charges should be dropped for nearly every criminal in the U.S. because Saddam is a worse criminal. :wtf:
