LET'S TAKE A TRIP TO FREEPERVILLE TO SEE HOW THEY LIKE THE MEMO STORY
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1444163/posts

A sampling of some Freeper comments on the Washington Post story which confirmed the existence of a CIA Memo that alleges the WH were engaged in a coordinated effort to trash Joe Wilson. I love their sign off handles (like comparing Fox News to the Word of God) It took forever to run the spell check on their posts b/c they are illiterate - but I left their posts in the exact form they were posted on Free Republic. True to form, they must refer to President Clinton. ACK! :puke:

Posted on 07/16/2005 4:17:15 AM PDT by NathanBookman

(From the Washington Post)

Federal prosecutors investigating the leak of former CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity have asked several witnesses in the case whether they read a State Department memorandum mentioning her that circulated inside the Bush administration in the days before she was publicly named, according to people familiar with the testimony. (snip) The memo "identifies her as having selected or recommended her husband" for the Niger assignment, according to a person who has seen it. Administration officials circulated this information as a way of discrediting the reliability of Wilson's charges.

Lawyers involved in the probe said prosecutors are interested in whether anyone called back to Washington to talk about information in the memo. (snip)

Rove said of the memo that he "had never seen it, had never heard about it and had never heard anybody else talk about it," according to a lawyer familiar with his testimony. Rove's attorney, Robert Luskin, said he can say "categorically" that Rove did not obtain any information about Plame from any confidential source, such as a classified document.

Rove "had never seen it, had never heard about it and had never heard anybody else talk about it"!!!
Robert Luskin, said he can say "categorically" that Rove did not obtain any information about Plame from any confidential source.

Where's the crime? Its amusing to see liberals wax themselves high and mighty over literally nothing!

(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)

To: goldstategop
Plame certainly was NOT a covert agent in Africa before, during and after the war.
The MSM&D have no doubt decided they have nothing left...Now they are just being blatantly dishonest right in the open hoping to catch enough people off gaurd. It's too late, they won't be able to cover up who they really are now as Clinton did so well.

The MSM&D are complete losers.

To: NathanBookman
Man the Dems need a new "scandal" this one is boring, old, inept, and has been played out.

To: NathanBookman
It's amazing that the NYT seems to think there's something ominous about a memo in the first place. If there hadn't been a memo to cue some of the Administration in, it would have been a sign of sheer incompetence and/or apathy. The ominous part is that someone was out there trying to hurt the country in order to hurt the President.

To: trebb

This is no different from what the Beeb tried to do to Tony Blair. Attempted coup d'etat by media.

A new poll conducted by NBC News and the Wall Street Journal shows that 59 percent of Americans refuse to describe Bush as "honest and straightforward."

There are new rules now. The bully tactics are not going to work this time.

8. These are all talking points from Rush LImbaugh...
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 09:46 AM by TwoSparkles
I apologize for repeatedly bringing up Limbaugh.

I listen when I'm shuttling my kids to and fro--and EVERYTHING these mindless dolts are saying---is EXACTLY---what Limbaugh is pontificating on his radio program.

These vampires on FR REALLY need to turn off their transistor radios, step out of their dungeons and get some sunlight! Can you imagine how pasty these guys are?

I have to say--after reading these FR comments--I have to wonder if the same sources post at Free Republic AND provide talking points to Limbaugh. Does the White House employ a Propaganda Disseminator Intern?

Maybe FR exists as a White House tool to catapult the propaganda--just as Rush's show does.

I listen to Limbaugh--and it doesn't take too much brain power or resourcefulness to debunk several of his points. Read a little. Rely on news sources besides Fox and Fascism Today. Ask questions of others.

These little dweebs saturate themselves with their daily dose of propaganda--and now they're drunk on spin. Maybe these pansies can do the right thing, like Rush did--and check into rehab.

11. Ru$h uses a mind control technique called an 'Apriori Loop' to brain wash
his listeners.. I heard him say that if you didn't understand what he was saying to just keep listening and you would figure it out.

When i was a Juvenile Parole Officer i wrote a very well Refused paper entitled..

"Inductive and Apriori Logic as Perceptual Dysfunction and a Stalemate in the Counseling Process"

the 'Victim' gets stuck in a perceptual logical loop, that comes up with the 'same conclusion regardless of where or what any input is inserted'.

the logical format of this loop is inappropriate and ineffective, therefor it causes the Victim and those exposed to them much suffering.. and in the instance of 'Postal' shooting situations much danger.

one can not intervene in the Victims situation.. because 'any input will result in the same conclusion'. If you try to tell them that their "View" is the cause of their problem.. "YOU" are immediately the problem..

the system is ineffective and inappropriate and causes problems, but the source of the problems is externalized.. there is a stale mate.

the only way the person can be helped is for them to participate in Art, Music(as in learning to play an instrument), repetitious exercise(as in running, bike distance riding, swimming laps) or Meditation... none of which are what one would call Freeper Olympics.

all of the kids i got to meditate in the prison were paroled within 60 to 90 days. Meditation physically restructures the brain to operate the way it is intended to, using both analogical and digital functions harmoniously to percieve and solve problems

16. Really Interesing!! I Was Thinking That When I Listened To That
freeper on Al Franken, OMG, it's like he's brainwashed. When they totally disprove a Rush-planted erroneous belief, he immediately goes in this mode where the source of the information can't be trusted.

Even though the source is CORRECT it makes no difference!! It's like saying Wilson is not to be trusted on the Niger claims when HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT THEM! That part (right/wrong) just quit figuring into the equation.

14. Very interesting...
This is exactly what Limbaugh does. You nailed it.

I imagine the tactics used by these nut jobs, are the same tactics used by abusers.

I would think that most kids who end up in the system--were abused. You have to reprogram their world view, because their abusive parents convince them that up is down and down is up. I bet it restructures the brain!

That is so profound...I'm learning a thing or two here.

Also, this struck me, "'same conclusion regardless of where or what any input is inserted'. A person who is abused, learns real quick that they are powerless and at the mercy of those who are in control of him/her. So they give up (learned helplessness). I imagine their denial systems kick in and they begin to rationalize/minimize/distort reality--just to survive.

The distortions must be what you "reprogram" out of them.

I imagine that's tough. Kids build up dysfunctional thinking as a protective mechanism, and those walls don't come down easily.

Kudos to you--for doing the work of angels. :)

Very interesting stuff...

17. Meditation heals the mind, it just reloads the origional program and
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 11:54 AM by sam sarrha
then enhances it..

you cant reprogram it out of them, you have to provide an environment and constructive motovation for them to do what they need to do to heal themselves. with meditation you can see progress in weeks good results in a couple of months starting out with 10 minutes a day for 30 days, If your kid is in school band they will get at least 1 grade point higher on thair report card across the board.. but what is the government eleminating out of the schools, art and Music. and Meditation is frequently demonized

there is a tape called 'Doing Time Doing Vipasana', Produced and Directed by Ayelet Menahemi and Eilona Ariel, 1997, Karuna Films Ltd

about how the prison systems in India and around the world are changing using Vipassina Meditation, violence in prisons is eleminated and they dont come back

26. Wow, I'm really interested in this...
Can you direct me to some good sources on the "how to" of meditation.

When I first began therapy, for childhood abuse--my therapist mentioned meditation. She told me to sit quietly and just let my mind wander. It was really difficult to do that back then. It was as if a train wreck of emotion was barreling at me.

That was three years ago, and I've processed so much.

I bet meditation would really help me at this stage of the game.

Thanks for mentioning it, and for any resources you might point me toward. I'll do some research in the mean time!

Thanks!

32. First i need to say that Meditation is used in Buddhism and Buddhism has
been developing Meditation for the last 2,500 years, the Tibetans in particular. But meditating does not make you a Buddhist. Buddhism is not a religion.. or a Philosophy, it is most closely related to a Psychology. It is based on a Posit and draws a logical conclusion.
Buddhism is based on the Four Noble Truths. 1/that life involves suffering, dissatisfaction.. unhapiness..want, desire, aversion, anger.. 2/(Posit)suffering is caused by desire 3/since there is a cause to suffering it follows that there is a resolution. 4/the resolution is the Noble 8 Fold Path.. which is a life style that is designed to prevent acquiring more bad Karma.. while you study to train the mind to eliminate negativity and the Causes of suffering and Karma.

Meditation is the fundamental process for Enlightenment in Buddhism.

now that is over, Meditation is a process that trains the mind, Period. Meditation is compared to learning to play a musical instrument, you need a teacher, you need to practice daily, and it takes about as long to learn, usually about 6 moths to a year.

the mind changes slowly and since the process is essentially the mind looking at itself, it may not notice the change... so you just have to set a 3 month goal and keep a journal if you do that.. and you can get a better view of the change

Here are some resources, http://www.buddhanet.net they have a neat little video on how to meditate. another is a book, "Diamond Mind" it is by Rob Nairn. you can get it at http://www.Amazon.com click books> then type in Diamond Mind by Rob Nairn you can get both of his books used for $7.88.
he is by far the best Meditation author.. he was told by the Dalai Lama to leave the Monastery and go out and teach meditation, the world needed him.

at Buddhanet you can check out Buddhanet Audio on the lower left on their home page.. Jack Kornfield and Sharon Salzburg are really good.. the Insight Meditation group is The Mainstream Group teaching meditation.

I would suggest getting Pema Chodron's 'When Things Fall Apart'.. it will help explain some things for you.. her tape/CD set is great.. they have it at www.Soundtrue.com and Amazon
PM me if you ever have any questions..
Meditation IS NOT what your doctor said it is..

The capacity of humans to willfully ignore stuff we don't want to see is pretty durned amazing. I like the blinders these guys are wearing: if Rove didn't see the memo then there is no crime at all!

Boy, that Fitzgerald guy must be a real idiot, eh? Why can't he see that the question of whether any member of the Bush admin broke the law by revealing Valerie Wilson's identity and/or covering-up afterward all boils down to whether or not Rove saw a memo?

It's so obvious.

So they tune in to thier PP superiors, Rush, Hannity or whoever it may be and put their brain on record, what they record is of no consequence, it doesnt have to make sense, it doesnt have to conform to any known version of reality it just has to be from one of their guys, then the brain goes off. When its time, they go to a freeper chat or hear a trigger word like say Rove, they switch automatically to regurgitate. Skwwaaaaak Corn did it. Skwaaak, not undercover, Skwaaaaakkk, Didnt use her name Skwwaaaaak. No higher brain function necesarry or in fact allowed. Record. Off. Regurgitate.
