Fred Barnes of Fox "Joe Wilson least credible man....
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 08:41 AM by liberaliraqvet26
in Washington"...

If this is so then how come everything he said turned out to be right?

These must be the most credible people in Washington then-

"The insurgency is in it's last throes"

"They will welcome us with open arms"

DICK CHENEY

everything involving "mushroom clouds"

"the memo was too vague"

CONDELEZZA RICE

Im sorry there is too much bullshit to list... you get my point

1. Joe Wilson faced down Saddam Hussien and
told him in 1990 that if you want to kill Americans you can start w/ me ......

He is a hero. Screw Fox, they are just working from RNC / Creative Response
Concepts talking points.

6. "Screw Fox"
Yesterday, I was in a store that had several TeeVees going, all tuned to FOX. I was waiting for the clerk and happened to glance at a screen. I saw a FOX "reporter" gabbing away; the sound was off but the caption on the screen read "Developing Report: Rove first learned of Plame's name from reporter." I thought, "WHAAA...? So this is how they going to try to spin it...!"

I thought the scenario must have been:

Rove: "Say, I just wanted to let you know Joe Wilson's wife is a CIA operative!"
Reporter: "What?! Joe Wilson's wife? 'CIA operative?' You mean Valerie?"
Rove: "Uh, yeah. ...'Valerie'"

21. I bought a really tiny universal remote that I carry for just such an
emergency. You can get 'em for five bucks and its as simple as pointing at the offending tv, mashing a few buttons to get the access code and voila!, YOU control what channel that fucker's on. It makes it easier if the tv is close enough to see the brand. I consider it a free deprogramming service.

24. I found mine at Walgreen's. It's the dimensions of a credit card but
as thick as 3 or 4 cc's, easily concealable but works like a charm! Barring a Walgreen's, Radio Shack is a good place to look.

2. There's an awful lot of people fighting for that title.
Joe Wilson is one of the few who isn't.

3. It's already estabished that Wilson's report on the uranium was true
and the Bush's statement in his state of the union address was false, or at least unsubstantiated.

But the Fox and rightied talking heads simply smear with ad hominem attacks, determine the bearer of the bad news is incredible, and therefore anything he says is false. Whereas, Bush is a good person or at least president, and therefore everything he says is true, unless somebody proves the opposite, which of course can't be done in THEIR mind because the second somebody comes up with proof that Bush lies, he is slandered and smeared with the ad hominem, see above.

It's simply another varient of "we good, they bad".

4. It's obvious that Fred doesn't have a mirror!
Because HE is the least credible man in DC. I'll never forget the time when he stated "We don't know at this point, global warming may be a good thing!"

He explained that it would make a lot of new agrarian land in the previously unfarmable north. Huh?

5. That's right now
it depends on who's telling the truth that exposes Team Bush for what they are. Not long ago Richard Clarke was the least credible.

10. It was established factually a long time ago that Fox anchors are
given the news (complete with spin) from on high (Murdoch or Ailes) and they either report it that way or hit the frickin' road.
When you think about it Fox News is meant to be serious, but it's actually funny and entertaining to watch them stretch to come up with spin and The Daily Show is meant to be funny (and it is), but it's damn serious at the same time.

11. Fred Barnes should testify under oath how he knows that to Fitzgerald and
the grand jury.

If Barnes has evidence that Wilson is lying then he needs to testify quickly under oath. If he doesn't want Fitzgerald to believe Wilson, then Barnes better DEMAND to be called as a witness.

12. Fred Barnes reminds me of a scene in Braveheart
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 12:16 PM by aint_no_life_nowhere
King Edward the Longshanks: He can invade lower England.

Phillip: We would stop him!

King Edward the Longshanks: Who is this person who speaks to me as though I needed his advice?

Edward’s son: I have declared Phillip my high counsellor.

King Edward the Longshanks: Is he qualified?

Phillip: I am skilled in the arts of war and military tactics, sire.

King Edward the Longshanks: Are you? Then tell me, what advice would you offer on the present situation...

(Throws him out of the window --- splat!)

13. The only way for us to bring down Fox's ratings is to not watch.
How many people actually watch Faux because they believe the tripe their selling, and how many people are just watching because it's fascinating to watch such audacious lying or think it is important to keep monitoring the lies? Just stop watching. If we don't watch, I predict their ratings will tank. They will only be left with their hardcore freepaholic, fundaholic, kool-aid drinking, knuckle dragging lost causes. They don't really have lots of viewers comparatively speaking in the first place.

I also don't believe any Democrats or progressives or real journalists should ever appear on their programming for interviews, very soon if they had no one from the other camp on, they'd be talking and argueing with themselves.

Get your Foxblocker today or just refuse to watch. Their lies are just getting too 'beyond the beyond', cut off their money supply from advertisers by not watching.

17. WHORES: instead of paid by the lay...they're paid by the lie
they will say pretty much anything. underreported was how David Gregory or someone in WH press briefing referred to Foxnews as the defacto mouthpiece of the WH. THat is a powerful indictment. THe fact that no one is shocked and outraged shows people know it's true.

IF it is true, then pretty much everything said on Fox NEws should be dismissed as an empty WH press release. Spin, propaganda, and not journalism.

END OF STORY> P.S. some of their viewers are starting to figure that out.

20. Yes, He Is.
As is that geriatric pundit on CNN, Bill Schneider, who paints himself as the kindly older chap, next door.

A Tactical Hint: Look at the ground along the path by which they entered anything: They have fangs that carve six-inch ruts in the concrete, wherever they've been walking.
