Hardball says Bush 'trustworthy' poll down to 41%
Nora O'Donnell mentioned this on Tweety's show and this was just about the public's view of his overall veracity, not specifics like the war or anything else. Simply amazing !

2. With a bullet..........
downward. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. It's about time Americans woke up. Now all we have to do is convince the die-hard Pukes that their fearless leader is an incompetent, mutton-head as well. THAT'S the tough sell!

5. Tweety Is Such A Puss. He is so blatant it is almost impossible
to watch. He is not even close to other talk show hosts.

I am almost at the point I don't watch any more. He doesn't ask good questions and he is too biased.

7. when he, Gergen, and Mitchell
say in one voice that the public out there does not care about Rove -- and that's what GOP thinks too -- my initial reaction is anger but then I think, let them say it -- and let GOP think it -- because then they will all pay, Tweety with even worse ratings, and GOP with walking into a dark abyss while denying all the time that it's there. The good thing about Hardball is that it's followed by Countdown which, even with Allison and not Keith, is quite damn therapeutic!

10. yesterday he was calling Hillary a bitch
for attacking Bush when everyone is "rallying around Bush."

Of course, he said "witch" but everyone knows he means "bitch".

And E.J.Dionne made the ultimate point at the end, how Schumer said the exact same thing and no one called him a bitch, because bitch this whole thing is about hating females. And Tweety has a long history of that.

MATTHEWS: Why is she putting the shiv in the very week, weekend and weekday, right now, Monday, when the people are rallying around the president because of the latest terrorism?

<snip>

Right at the moment the attack on the subways in England, the underground, she's whacking the president for cutting defense money, security money for our own subways.

<snip>

MATTHEWS: You think you can set two different tones at the same time, national solidarity and whack the president in the kneecaps the same day?

<snip>

MATTHEWS: I hate to say this. I'm not going to hate to say it. It's a fact. You look more witchy when you're doing it like this.

13. He hates the Clintons vehemently and irrationally
Makes you wonder why. I think they both are way too smart for him, and he feels intellectually dwarfed by them. The truth is, he is a fast talker but a very slow thinker...

14. Hillary looks like a prophet when it comes to healthcare/singlepayer
California's got a winner in state bill SB840 (Sheila Kuehl). If Hillary & the rest of the Dems go for single payer this will put her over the top just on the money it will save.

15. Even R's know that Iraq is a quagmire and the only thing you can
really effectively do is pull up the immigration drawbrige on these Muslims, who really want to jump ship from their own failing economies - see Bernard Lewis's What Went Wrong, or Irshad Manji's The Trouble With Islam.

16. Check out Fineman's column
on why the reporters (including, very obviously, him) all of a sudden have gained a spine and are after Rove:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8562223/

The ferocity with which the presidential press corps went after the Karl Rove story is startling, but it shouldn’t be surprising. Several media, political and Washington vectors intersected to create an explosive Rove Reaction....

Take my word, there has been a lot of soul searching in the so-called Main Stream Media (MSM) over its performance, or lack of performance, in the months leading up to the American-led ouster of Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq. Specifically, did we replace what should have been professional skepticism with a certain mindless credulousness in assessing the reality of the Bush administration’s claims of imminent danger to the country and the world from Saddam’s supposedly vast stash of weapons of mass destruction, including — only months away, it was said — the nuclear kind?

If we failed, was it out of a misplaced sense of patriotic duty, or political cowardice or sheer incompetence — or all three? The press corps was spring-loaded with self-doubt over the WMD issue, and ready to snap over any story that would allow it to revisit what now looks to have been a massive — and embarrassingly successful, from the press’ point of view — propaganda campaign.

So Rove was a spinner on the WMD front? After him!

19. Well, this shoots that theory all
to hell that the latimes came out with a few days ago..that bush's numbers would get back up again.

Sorry I forget what rationalization they were using.

WE all knew they were trying to project the unprojectable!
