A question about the London bombing

The bombs were on timers, correct? So why are they saying the people that planted them, suicided themselves? That doesn't make sense.

What would make sense would be for the bombers to think they had more time than they really did. With all the cameras around they were killed to cut the link.

I don't think they found timers, did they? They just assumed that they were on timers because of how closely in time they went off. They could have just been incredibly self-disciplined suicide bombers. I have no idea how possible that is, not having any insight into the mindset.

Your theory is far more clever though: accidental suicide bombers.

4. They're now saying there weren't any timers

Police sources have told the BBC they had not recovered any timing devices from the bomb scenes, possibly indicating that detonation was by hand

Why this has changed, when there were several reports that pieces of timer had been found, I don't know.
