xymphora attacks DailyKos for purging skeptics

Daily Kos, practically a semi-official mainstream Democrat blog, is censoring itself over "a series of bizarre, off-the-wall, unsupported and frankly embarrassing conspiracy theories" concerning the London bombing. This is part of the reason why mainstream Democrats are such losers, and will be for a long, long time.

1. And I thought it was censorship here!
Boy did I read that wrong! I thought it was a topic here. I thought Daily Kos was a poster, and a moderator here, not another website. I'm so glad. Now I have to look back and see how I missed it.

2. Phew! And I thought it was the fixed election results in Florida in
2000 and Georgia in 2002, to say nothing of the rigged electronic voting machines in 2004.

And to think it was all just the Democrats fault for being too conspiracy minded.

I disagree with xymphora's conclusion.

4. Good for them!
Pandering to paranoid lunatics, regardless of their politics, only brings discredit to the left. Ours is the only large tent, but there's no room for the insane when we're at war.

5. They haven't proved Al Queda did it either.
Ever hear of "Operation Northwoods"? History is full of "false flag" operations.

7. Yep
Lots and lots of 'em, some of 'em not at all well known, and maybe some of 'em will never BE known. Doesn't mean they didn't happen, though.

10. Kos ought to do what he thinks is right, he is making a career and living
If he's thinking about moving toward the various "middles" to try to gain "credibility" with the mainstream mainstreet media channels this may help him, but it doesn't help America. A better choice might have been a "tin foil hat " forum to segregate the false flag/conspiracy theory posts.

I think we start to reframe "conspiracy theories" as false flag operations. History is full of them, the CIA---FBI--MI5--Mossad--KGB--etc can't help but brag about them or eventually the truth comes out. Wonder how many of these false flag operations these supersecret outfits don't brag about?

12. And wonder if they wouldn't kill to keep those secrets
Personally, I put nothing past this admin.

It's just a question of what is profitable. It's plain and simple. Follow the money. Nothing crazy, nothing lunatic, it's the oldest issue of all. Very little radical in the concept of government corruption. It's just that word, conspiracy, seems to wig people out. As if what they have done, have managed to do already, is ANY better than any conspiracy us nuts would have dreamed up.

In my nightmares, they were stopped long before they were able to wage a war. In my nightmares, no one laughes at the idea of abuse of power causing deaths. Lost money, lost rights, all those things are important, but the lose of life is the most serious of all, and in my poor, simplistic lunatic nightmares, I didn't see democrats laughing about the possibility that murders happened. Murders for profit. War crimes, complete with torture. I NEVER thought things could go this badly.

14. Conspiracy theorists aren't lunatics. But some theories are lunacy.
Conspiracy theory:
Bush stole the election-- not lunacy

Conspiracy theory:
Dick Cheney is an android- lunacy

15. I agree with you, whatever4.
However, if they think that our government would never do such things, you're probably never going to be able to convince them. I love my country, but I don't feel any requirement to trust our government, especially given all of the other things that they've done out in the open,in front of our very eyes, and have gotten away with it without even a peep from most Americans.

Sorry that you're being attacked. It's so easy for people to discredit things by calling them "conspiracy theories". Call something this, and it's immediately something that a "reasonable" person won't consider worthy of discussing or examining. Language so easily controls people, doesn't it?

(NOTE: I'm not responding specifically to anyone who posted in this thread. This is just a generic observation that I'm making about things like this.)

Don't repeat this to anyone because if you do I'll deny it...

Elvis killed JFK,Saddam is a robot,Mother Theresa was in fact an alien and so was Gandhi,Jim Morrison is alive and work at Area 51,and Ann Coulter is Bigfoot...

Sounds like they agree with Kos, which I think is unfortunate.

"Democrats are losers" is highly inflammatory and this type rhetoric is not welcome here.
