Bush: "I sleep well at night. I attribute that to my faith."
http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/

In preparation for President Bush's visit to Denmark en route to the G-8 Summit in Scotland, he was interviewed by a member of the Danish media. The reporter, representing the Danish Broadcasting System, said he mentioned to his 11-year-old daughter that he was interviewing the President of the United States. She wanted to know what the President thinks about when he falls asleep at night. President Bush, touched by the question offered the following candid answer, saying that his peace of mind is due, in large part, to his faith and the prayers of Americans:

Yes, fascinating question. You've got to tell your daughter that, one, I sleep well at night. I subscribe that -- this may be controversial for some -- I subscribe it to the fact that I've got peace of mind. And I attribute that to my faith, and to this amazing fact about America: Millions of people -- no matter what their political affiliation may be or their background -- pray for me and Laura. And for that, I am incredibly grateful.
--George W. Bush

"Though his days are filled with a mind-numbing array of meetings, briefings, consultations and decisions, President Bush wants the world to know he has great peace of mind, thanks to the prayers of Americans who pray for him. Image courtesy of the White House."

23. His "faith" in what???
The GOP/Rove propaganda machine?

Diebold voting machines?

The Military-Industrial Complex?

The BFEE's network of friends to always bail his butt out?

Just the fact that he claims to have a "faith" that allows him to sleep easily at night is blasphemous in itself.

His gods are "Mammon" (money) and Power.

32. I pray for justice!
What was that quote? That America should tremble if there is indeed a just God?

But I can sincerely for protection for elected leaders, even if I don't agree with their politics. I don't want suffering or bloodshed.

But...because I don't want suffering or bloodshed, I also pray for Bush to be revealed to the country (the world already knows) for the manipulative, cruel, short-sighted creature he is. I've prayed for him to be punished (and for us all to live to see it), but it's not mine to hand out punishment.

Edited on Sun Jul-10-05 12:48 PM by zidzi
bush is a proven LIAR ..so why should anyone believe ANYTHING he says?

And he lied about the most awful thing in existence..whether or not a country should bomb another country.

Just ask Cindy Sheehan!

bush fits the profile of a sociopath..so whether he "sleeps" or not is moot.

42. How sweet to be an Idiot

How sweet to be an Idiot
As harmless as a cloud
Too small to hide the sun
Almost poking fun
At the warm but insecure untidy crowd.

How sweet to be an idiot
And dip my brain in joy
Children laughing at my back
With no fear of attack
As much retaliation as a toy
How sweet to be an idiot.
How sweet...

I tiptoe down the street
Smile at everyone I meet.

But suddenly a scream
Smashes through my dream
Fee fi fo fum
I smell the blood of an asylum
Hey you, you're such a pedant
You got as much brain as a dead ant
As much inagination as a caravan site!

But I still love you, still love you, oooh
How swee-ee-eet to be an idiot
How sweet
How sweeeeet
How sweeeeeeeet......
