All of our laws should pass the "Fidel Castro Test"
(I'm thinking of the flag burning amendment particularly)

"If Fidel Castro passed the same law, would we be happy or unhappy about it?"



Would we say "see, he's repressing his people's freedom of expression."?"

All of our laws should pass this test.

That goes for flag burning, permanent imprisonment incommunicado without trial, attacking countries who don't threaten, place bases around the globe, maintain nuclear stockpiles, create more nukes for theater use, rend suspects to other countries for torture......

Did I leave anything out? Castro is punished, rightly, for having done some of these. Castro would be invaded if hed did others.
