Question: Can military officers be impeached?
I just had to ask that question. Since so many of you have been asking lately: Can the press be impeached? Can a pope be impeached? Can Congress be impeached? Is there really anything in this world that can't be impeached? I'd like to know. I was thinking, maybe we should just impeach the whole world and start over again tomorrow.

1. No
You can get them through the UCMJ for dereliction of duty or actions unbecoming of an officer.

3. No
Military officers are given a commission by the President of the United States. That commission can be revoked, however.

4. Relieved Of Duty
Is what would happen to one and then there may be other things that follow from the action that cause it. There might be actioin under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, or not, and there might be discharge, or not. I believe that only the Congress can disenfranchise (is that the right word?) a comission though.
