Iraqi Militants Blast Oil Pipeline South of Baghdad

<snip> BEIRUT, June 26 (Itar-Tass) -- A strong fire broke out near Yusufiya south of Baghdad on Saturday. Iraqi militants committed an act of diversion on the oil pipeline that supplies crude to the oil refinery in Al-Dorah, a Baghdad suburb. Firefighters are fighting the blaze, a governmental source in Baghdad said.

Every soldier is a "militant". Funny, how our guys are called "soldiers", but their guys are called "militants".

5. Plain and Simple: Bush wants the oil contolled and so do they
Chalabi is the OIl minister of Iraq, if that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what does?
The US. needs to control the second largest oil reserve on the planet and the "insurgents" are aware of the circumstances/consequences once Exxon-Mobil setup operations.

So Rumsfeld assured us yesterday on Meet The Press that this "war" could go on 12 years.

Hold precious the time you have left with your kids, the volunteer army isn't volunteering much these days.

6. If Bush keeps making their oil lines an issue, they're gonna be targeted
Bush Co. said the oil revenues would be used to pay off the war. Big mistake. What that meant was that the resistance would automatically target the pipelines because Bush Co. co-opted them. They no longer belong to Iraq but have instead become a tool of occupation, so they become a legitimate target in the eyes of many fighters in Iraq.

It's like a murderous psycho decided to hotwire your car and use it to run over members of your family. If you have a gun in your house, of course you would not hesitate to pump your car full of lead to try to stop him.
