2. I thought he might have something pertinent or in-depth to say but
he's just part of the game show action so you're not missing anything but a few laughs - like Jessica Simpson probably thinking was going to Crete instead of Tikrit.

Wait Wait Don't Tell Me tends to keep things pretty light...

3. They do keep it light but it's still an interesting barometer...
and they do get a few well placed barbs in on occasion.

4. Yes they do. I loved it a couple of weeks ago when
they referred to a previous show when they mentioned that it had been discovered that the number of the beast was actually 616, not 666. 616 was also an area code in Michigan. So know they knew where to call if they wanted to speak to Beelzebub.

What they didn't know was that Bush was visiting that area code at the very time they made the comment.

So they apologized.... to Beelzebub!

The crowd applauded.
