Contact your Congressperson about the flag burning amendment
If any of our Congresspeople are asleep on this one, they need to wake up. A flag is a piece of cloth - nothing more.

1. It's gonna pass...concentrate on the Senate...
Unfortunately I fear it will pass there as well.

The only silver lining is that they won't be able to use the issue in the campaign anymore...hopefully the states will have more sense

2. If it passes, we should burn pictures of our leaders.
Can we get a fire permit where we can burn the dummies with the photos supporters of the amendment in effigy. Dummies are as qualified as those who support this nonsense.

3. Do you know

how Kucinich will vote on this? IIRC the last time this came up he was supporting it because the Veterans in his district asked him to or something like that. It was one of the few things I really disagreed with him on. I have not heard anything lately about how he was thinking about this.

Edit I was thinking they had voted already, corrected

4. I figure he'll oppose this bill.
Everyone knew that a law wouldn't be upheld and so they were a bit cavalier about it. If you have any doubts about anyone, contact them.

5. Thanks
I was a little concerned that they had already voted, I have not been getting the chance to keep up the last few days. So, thanks for letting me know.

6. You might want to call
his office just to make sure he'll oppose it. Everytime I've had doubts this year, he's always come through. But it wouldn't hurt to let him know how we feel.

7. Dennis opposed it! Yes! He's the man!
Like I said, every time I have doubts, Dennis comes through.

9. Let it pass
It is a symbolic gesture only and we have a great deal more to accomplish in some major areas.
