http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050622/NEWS13/106220061"The way things have been going of late, you might think Democrats were the majority party in the U.S. Senate. A lot of things seem to be going their way.
Democrats have blocked John Bolton's confirmation as ambassador to the United Nations — twice. The focus is shifting from how to get Bolton confirmed to what options President Bush might have available to him."
It sounds good at the start, but then he transforms into the usual right-wing BS, arriving at this fresh and reasoned conclusion by the end:
"Eight months ago, the people elected a Republican president and a Republican Congress. Now the Democrats are trying to execute a political coup.
The president cannot allow it to succeed, lest he be denied the leadership authority entrusted to him by the people of the United States."
"Leadership authority?" Well if you call a "mandate" of over 1 percentage point "authority," then i suppose ...
The very fact that someone like this would start an article out the way he did shows they are worried, and that the nonsense being emitted from the mouths of Bush, Frist, et al. is just propaganda.
