Durbin in a skirt
Give Pelosi some lovin' boys and girls. I think that the RW media will start in on her next.

Michael Savage just kept repeating over and over about how she was taking what Durbin said one step further, telling her to stop harming our troops and hurting the country, all during the audio of her press conference, over and over again.

Yeah, yeah, don't listen to Michael. I know, I know. Michael is among the worst of the RW. He hates the war, he hates Bush, he hates Frist, but he hates us even more. What a little troll of a man.

But still, if they're gonna start in on Pelosi like they did on Durbin, we need to support her. If Durbin was hanging out there all by himself, then let's make sure Nancy Pelosi knows she has friends, okay?

1. kickin' for day.
Is Pelosi getting nailed at all, or is everyone but Michael ignoring her... until they need another distraction, I suppose.

2. To paraphrase Harry T
If they can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Putting up with some media bashing is nothing compared to having your loved one die in Iraq for an illegal war.

5. How about if the pressure is coming from Democrats
in your own state. Then what do you do?

Do you support her, or what?

8. Only in passing through the dial
I don't think any of us can take either one for long.

So, do you support her. Or do we leave her flapping in the breeze.

9. Dick Durbin is a hero; if he buckled, he deserves some slack
Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 03:56 PM by PurityOfEssence
There's not much more of a disgusting organism than a critic. Those who have to stand up for their votes should be judged in a different way than outsiders.

Why do you listen to monarchic assholes? Savage is barely a human being; why do you listen to him?

Let's have a bit of a reality check here: only ONE Senator voted against the Patriot Act, and that was the unelectable, twice-divorced paragon of decency Russ Fiengold. Even Wellstone voted for it.

Clark and Dean were BOTH cautious about voting against the IWR, and neither had to be called to account. The real heroes are those who stood their ground, not hypothetically, but with votes, and as the smoke clears for presidential hopefuls, only Kucinich is left standing.

Nobody deserves a pass if he/she didn't have to vote, and all statements made are VERY IMPORTANT.

Durbin is a great human being, and if he withered in the face of asshole pressure, it's but a small blot on his record. Those who don't have to fight in the forum are quick to smear those who don't fight enough.

A critic is a eunuch in a whorehouse, so sayeth one of my best friends.

To slag the courageous Dick Durbin is an act of self-aggrandizing cowardice or cocksure brutal ignorance. Wake the fuck up and realize what world we live in; he's a hero.

10. Durbin was wrong to apologize, but his apology was conditional
so I will give him some slack.

I heard that at the DC Rally last night, Durbin gave a powerful speech and Hoyer and Dean stood with him in a show of support and the crowd gave them all a huge ovation.

12. Thanks, Larkspur
I'm more peeved at Daley right now. I'm kinda wondering if his hairy cat fit all over Durbin was the last straw.

11. (Deniro)You talkin' to me!? YOU TALKIN' TO ME(/Deniro)
You're preachin' to the choir pal.

I spent most of yesterday standing up for Durbin, who is a very good man.

I just want to make sure that those who, as you say, don't have to stand where he and Pelosi stand, and can easily criticize, support Pelosi in a way that perhaps Durbin was NOT supported.

The beetle-troll Savage was just an early warning light for me that perhaps Pelosi would be next for the RW sound machine. Just tryin' to head them off at the pass, and make sure she feels supported.

Ya gots a problem with that, chum?
