...stickers that I see around town? I like the different languages on it. I hate to say it, but now that I think about it, it's about time.

What years did you listen to Harry when you could get it off the air?

I think KPBS took Shearer off the air here in San Diego at least 5 years ago, maybe more. He was one of the last shows on the air that dared to mention "controversial" topics. Public broadcasting so rarely does that any more that I can't get myself worked up over their funding cuts. They're almost all ads, all the time these days, and apart from NOW, which was better with Moyers, they only seem to do good stuff when they're having a fund drive.

I've added the link to my favorites so I can listen to the show every Sunday for a while and see if he's as good as I used to think he was, or if I was so starved for anything that wasn't a right-wing rant, that I overappreciated him.

Sounds like KPBS took him off as soon as he didn't have Clinton to talk about anymore.

The great thing is, if you go to his website (the second link) you can stream some of his older shows or just parts of a show, the sites laid out fairly well.

As far as NPR goes, If I was on the west coast, I'd just listen to the RealAudio from NPR (which I do here because I sleep through Morning Addition). You only have to hear One ad at the beginning of the stream, I hate listening to Morning Addition LIVE, because they throw in Traffic reports and "sponsorship messages," Among other things.

What I do is I record the RealAudio to a Sony MD Recorder, then play it back in the car or when ever I can stop what I'm doing and actually listen.

About the Avatar, as you might have guessed, living near Atlanta, I see a LOT of the Yellow on Blue stickers on cars and trucks here, but have you ever seen a sticker that is 2 Horizontal black stripes with a medium Blue stripe in the middle? I'd love to know where that comes from.

He's been doing this for close to 20 years, I only found it 2 years ago, but I have to stream it from the web. B-)
