Tucker Carlson is an Idiot
This morning on the Today Show Carlson said that Dean was hurting the Democratic Party. Carlson is just an idiot. It is about time that someone in the Democratic Party started standing up to the Republican Party. In addition, if Dean is hurting the Democratic Party why did Bret Schundler photo shop a picture of Dean's supporters and try to pass them off as his own. It looks like Dean is doing more for the Democratic Party than some Republicans are doing for the Republican Party. Dean is doing a great job. It is a good thing that he is trying to give an alternative other than the Republican Party to the American People.

1. Tucker is PAID
to make Democrats look bad....that's his job....

When he says something to marginalize the Democratic Party, you can hear the cash register ring in the background.

3. Imus was still ranting an hour after Tucker left
from another thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3845790

Imus rants on Tucker Carlson: "That bow-tie wearing pussy!"

Tucker was making the rounds getting some airtime pumping his new show.

Tucker brought up the subject of MSNBC newsbunny Contessa Brewer.

That was all it took to ignite Imus.

5. Personally, I think this is Republican up-is-down doublespeak.
I think they suspect Dean is VERY GOOD for the Democratic Party. So the line went out to all the slavish mouthpieces to repeat this mantra. I think the Repubs know that Dean will tap into grassroots anger, and they need to discredit & marginalize him (again).

6. Yes I agree
Why would any republican care if Dean was "hurting" the party. They are very afraid of Dean.

7. bush has brought the country to such a low ebb, I now view talking heads
like Tucker Carlson as traitors to the United States.

He and all the others take money and suspend their integrity. They are actively working to bring the US to her knees, a goal they share with 'the terrorists.'

8. That's a good take
I've been shouting that for a long time now, after a lifetime as a Washington lawyer. Why people think these do-nothing empty heads have any kind of expertise or credentials that make their views at all valid is beyond me.

They're nothing but readers, actors, playing the roles laid out for them by whomever signs their paychecks.

Taking them seriously is just dumb.

Corporation for Public Broadcasting

Former VOA chief is new head of CPB
Newsman Richard Carlson takes office in July <1992>

Originally published in Current, March 30, 1992

Richard W. Carlson, 51, a longtime print and TV journalist, former director of the Voice of America and current diplomat, takes office in mid-July <1992> as president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

The CPB Board unanimously elected Carlson March 24 after a six-month search. He will succeed Donald Ledwig, who announced his resignation last September.

Ledwig will speak for CPB at its congressional hearing next week, but Carlson will take office in time for the 25th anniversary of the Public Broadcasting Act later this year. CPB describes Carlson as "a speaker at more than 500 forums since 1977."

Carlson's articulateness was not the main reason he was hired, however, said CPB Board Chairman Marshall Turner. "We hired him because he's a leader. That's his key characteristic. The second characteristic: he understands the product. What we're all here to do ends up in front of people's eyes and ears. ... He's rooted in the product."

After his hiring was announced, Carlson flew back to the Republic of Seychelle, a tiny Indian Ocean island nation where he has been U.S. ambassador since 1991.

The ambassadorship followed his five-and-a-half-year tour at Voice of America, which culminated in a dispute over VOA's editorial independence.

9. Yes, he is. HOW did he become a pundit?
Seriously, I checked his biography on the CNN site and I see no reason why he was given a chat show other than he's young, conservative and wears a bow-tie.

That we knew that there was no or little planning for post-war Iraq. Well, that's not what this administration has spouted and it's never been proven, just stated *as* fact. Now we know it *is* fact!

If Democrats out there believe all this bs the repukes are spewing about Dean, then they need to leave the party.
