Shame on you George and Jeb for your hurricane photo ops
Most people have no idea that the 2004 hurricane devastation in Florida has pretty much remained the same. I have visited all of these areas from Port Charlotte to Port St. Lucie, and on both coasts little has changed. The promise of help and reconstruction was just a sham and a lot of people have virtually lost everything.
Now we have a new hurricane season. Please, PLEASE... this time don't buy into the photo ops.

1. I'm actually feeling sorry for the hurricanes.
You know they'll be out there.

3. I keep losing power because I am in the keys and in the middle
of a tropical storm so I may lose you any minute, but I just keep remembering how last year these two sunshine brothers came around glad handing the locals. But I run a resort in Key Largo and I talk to a lot of Florida locals who own property in ravaged areas and they...are...pissed...off. Dems and pubs alike. They were all counting on help from the bushies (yuk yuk) and all they got was this tee shirt that said, F... You!!

7. Thanks, Nik, crawled out on the dive platform to get my DU back
Just a lot of wind right now. The rain seems to have slowed down. But my point is that tweedle dumb and tweedle dumber spent a lot of time in Florida last year doing photo ops, and they grinned and gawked for the photographs. In fact based on this, Junior sent baby brother Jeb to the tsunami ravaged country because of his "experience". Unfortunately, Florida is still a huge mess, waiting on help from government a year later, and jeb still doesn't have a clue.

P.S. Thanks for your concern. I appreciate it.

8. Glad to hear you're still out there
Are you right in the path of the storm?

You make very valid points. It always ticks me off when some politician goes out during a natural disaster and runs his opportunistic mouth, but many politicos do care about their areas, especially local leaders who also get hit by the disaster.

But the Bushes are just unbelievably callous and their appearance at any hurricane site is just fodder for re-election campaigns. You know I can't even watch Shrub on TV anymore. It makes me literally nauseous.

10. No we were to the east of it as it crossed Cuba
but it was a big soggy mess. But I like these early tropical storms because they churn up the waters close to us and make them cooler, which tends to take away power from the bigger ones that come along later in the season.
We must be twins torn apart at birth...I can't watch bush at all because I fear for upchucking on the poor person next to me. However, I would definitely enjoy seeing him dragged up on charges of the murder of almost two hundred thousand people. I would watch that.

11. So it's kind of a "vaccination" against worse storms
Probably the wrong metaphor, but I hope it makes some sense. :) Good thing you're out of it.

I would be content to see him impeached--or even just voted out of office--but a trial would be nice. I'd even sit with a paper bag near by, just in case.

12. no, you are right.
as the waters get churned up, the less power the canes get as they get closer. They love still hot water to feed off of. Of course the big ones coming over from Africa build up such power that it really doesn't matter that much.

4. I live in a hurricane zone
and I sincerly hope no Bush ever touches my ice! I'd have to say "thanks but no thanks". Of course since Jebbie doesn't live in my state I doubt I'll ever have to worry about being visited by the Chimp or his bro.

5. Yeah, in Fla we call ice "the perfect crime"
Commit a murder with a block of ice. The evidence is gone. gw must have picked up on that because he certainly thinks he has commited the perfect crime on the world.

9. Don't worry, since this hurricane season won't be happening right before
a national Presidential election there won't be any interest on the Bushites part in posing for photographs handing out bottles of water.

I heard they wouldn't even give out the water last summer until the camera crews got there.

18. No, DU won't, but I have to remind everyone to pass the word
that they are such liars. People in Oregon and Minnesota don't have any idea that these poor ravaged Florida counties have gotten virtually no help from the state or federal government for a whole entire year. I drove through those areas recently and so much of them still look like they did a week after the hurricanes.
