Hilarious "Kilgore (R-VA) has film star looks"
2 letter in my local paper...I'm crafting a response to send in to this lunacy.

Kilgore for Governor
To the editor:
The people of "The Great Southwest" (Va.) are more honest, kinder, sweeter, better looking, more intelligent, play better music (country, mountain, and Mozart). And they have loads more common horse sense, which may be the most important of all.
They make better corn liquor, too. Just kidding. But if they did, it would be the best!
The clown who is opposing Jerry Kilgore is so mean-spirited they wouldn't have him in the Great Southwest. They'd send him back to the Midwest where he came from. Who would vote for such a mean-spirited, hateful type as he is? We realize that trying to "sling mud" in such an immature manner is his way of trying to hide his extreme liberal, high-tax agenda.
Kaine is not Governor material!
Kilgore is better looking too. He's a Virginia gentleman making plans to keep Virginia on the right path to where we all want to be.
Say goodbye to Kaine.

We couldn't do better than Kilgore
To the editor:
One can't blame poor 'ol Tim Kaine for trying to "play up ties to Southwest Virginia." His trouble is his father-in-law, a former Governor from the Southwest, was more like a liberal, other party, man. Not very well-liked by most Virginians who know right from wrong, even in dark times. He was almost an aberration to the "Great Southwest." Anyway, one can see that poor ol' Kaine is grabbing at straws.
But the real facts are: Jerry Kilgore is such an outstanding candidate - with "film star" good looks, and all the great qualities of honesty, intelligence, and a good-sense, low-tax agenda, we need look no further for our Virginia Governor.
One other thing we should remember about this fine man from the Southwest region is this, the District has always been known in the Virginia political world, as the "Fighting Ninth"!
So, in this era of difficult times and difficult decisions - we just couldn't do better than elect a Governor from the "Fighting Ninth" - a patriotic native Virginian, who would fight for us and our well being - and win every time.
Vote for Jerry Kilgore.

4. They're probably working on the Kilgore campaign
Judging from the overenthusiastic content of their letters, that's what it sounds like to me.
