How much I'd love to actually sit in a room and discuss these issues with all of you: Dean, the DLC, and so much more.

How best to position the party? Alas, we disagree! But no point can be made without a structured conversation.

Perhaps we should put together a formal DU debate? Maybe meet in a major city?

Well, I disagree with many of the posts I read in here. Oh well.

1. You're right. Dean should have said:
The Republicans are the party of radical, right-wing, authoritarian Christian dominionists. And they're a danger to everybody including white Christians.

3. Ahhh. Yet another sarcastic response to what appears to be...
an irresolvable issue. What to do to better the party? What not to do to better the party? Who to trust? Who not to trust?

Here's the funny thing: everyone thought Moore's film would energize the voting block - change minds, you know?

I'm a graduate student, you see, and we did research into this. Turns out none of that was true. The fiery criticism of F 9/11 simply energized Kerry voters, turned away Bush voters, and made Bush look like a victim of salacious charges before the few undecided voters remaining.

Yeah, yeah, I agreed with Moore's film. But folks think differently, you know? And this is what we discovered.

So here's Dean with his fiery rhetoric. It gets us going, right? But is this the way to challenge the status quo? No. It doesn't work. It will never work.

That's my opinion. Thank you.

Writer.

2. You just have to refrain from calling names
I admit I sometimes don't make it either but those be the breaks. As to your other thread my problem with the critics of Dean is that they should learn the following quote for public consumption:

"I won't comment on quotes that I haven't directly heard, the press has a habit of cutting quotes" It is that simple. We let them cut our quotes and comment on those cuts and thus lose the spin war. It has nothing to do with DLC but where they are speaking.

4. Locking
Enough already. Additional threads to continue inflammatory subjects is counter productive.
