Winning Strategies for Democrats
It seems obvious to me, and many others here, that the national democratic party, the "washington dems" are dumbstruck as to how to fix the problems in the democratic party in order to help us win elections.

I believe that a lot of the inherent weaknesses in our party stem from greed. Our leaders are desperate to hold onto what little power they currently have. They'd rather Captain the sinking ship than let anyone else take it over and sail it to victory.

As a party we have to be willing to FIGHT for our beliefs, and fight hard and dirty.

#1 - What is the job of government? The job of government is to do what's right for the majority of the population, not what's most popular. The job of a corporation is to make a profit. That's it's inherent duty. That's the difference between government and corporatism and we should fight hard against corporatism. Not as an enemy per se, but as a subject of goverment, not a ruler of government.

We should stand for FREEDOM from government interfence in everyday life, which means we should be against sodomy laws, sex toy laws, and for the legalization of pot and for death with dignity. The opposite of THE NANNY STATE.

We should be loud and proud against The War with Iraq - Why? Because it's only right to stand up for our troops and ensure they are being taken care of and not used in a war that is not in their best interest.

#1 - The purpose of goverment is for the people to control the powerful, the powerful controlling the people is the road to tyranny.

#2 - Corporations exist at our convenience, not us for theirs.

Best,

Dems
