WA State dems and Governor Gregoire need YOUR help!
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 07:40 PM by CalebHayes
Dear fellow Democrat,

We need your help here in Washington. As you may know Rossi has been trying to steal the governor's election in the courts for quite a while now. The state Democrats won't tell you this but I will: Rossi has no chance at becoming governor unless he is elected in 2008. He simply doesn't have a good enough case that the election was stolen from him. But the fact is he does have a good enough case that we have to continue to fight it in court and the fact is that fighting his case in court costs $$$$ and we only have so much. This has been a huge drain on us and we all know that Republicans don't seem to have major problems with money. That doesn't mean they always raise more money than us but we always have to work harder because we have to raise our money from a grassroots level. I'm not at all afraid that we will lose Governor Gregoire because of Rossi's insane lawsuit. But I am afraid that we are going to have to spend so much money defending her that we will lose the House and/or Senate in 2006. So, this is the part where I ask you for money. If you gave $20 it would make my day.

3. Thanks a lot. We really need it.
I don't know where you are but if your from out of state, thanks so much, you don't know how much it means. I got a letter today from the state democrats that asked for money to help fight the Rossi case and I wanted to donate so bad, but you can't when you have no money to donate. But, the more people you inform the more will donate. So I'm doing my part.

16. This is very worst because of the Senate seat...
We have a Senate seat coming up in O6 and I sure if Rossi fails with the Governor lawsuit that the GOP will push him to race again Cantwell in 06 and try to take one of our two senate seats and give them to the GOP.

That is even more dangerous. We can not afford to lose another Senate seat. Rossi as Governor isn't half as much a threat as Rossi as Senator. Our State House and Senate is still controlled by the Democrats, so his power would be limited.

Monday is the big day for the deadline for the first line of court battles.

17. Rossi can NOT win the senate seat... He was one term senator (Olympia)
His district kick him out when he showed his true color.

18. Perhaps...but we are talking State and not district
I hope you are right...but remember that Eastern Washington would vote for him with a passion. I know that on the West side we have the votes, but even my County that went for Kerry...Snohomish County...went for Rossi for Governor. Of course, we have certain voting machines too...

I hope you are right though...He'll try to run as a Moderate. I know if he tries, I'll be doing everything I can to support Cantwell.

19. I think more shit that goes on in Washington DC, I truly don't believe,
Edited on Sat Jun-04-05 01:20 PM by Rainscents
people will not vote for him as they know, rightwing is the one who is creating problems for this country. I truly believe, lot of moderates in this state is going to vote for Cantwell as they fear we don't need anymore republican senate in DC. For your info... starting '06 election, all the voting machines MUST have paper ballots and also, open source machines. Which mean, it will be much harder for Republicans to hack the machines. And another one for your info, all the ballots from the machines must be stopped and do the recounts on 1/3 of ballots that is cast... this is show, machines match up with actual printed ballots.
