The interest of trial lawyers is the same as the interest of the general public:

If a person is injured by a corporation or hospital, that person should be able to receive just compensation.

Therefore, it's fine with me that John Edwards got a lot of $2,000 checks from trial-lawyers.

I don't want Bush's plan to cap medical malpractice awards to pass.

4. Edwards' numbers are probably very different now...
...I'm a <$200 donor and didn't start giving money until the fall. Especially after Iowa, the little donors have probably grown significantly in number.

Edwards' only grassroots organization before people started tuning in was through trial lawyers. Kerry had to tap into his personal fortune. Gephardt had the unions. Dean was able to build an unprecendented organization through small donors, but not everyone had that foresight and ability. Clark managed to do something similar in response to Dean, and I think some of that kind of donating will be pouring into the Kerry and Edwards campaigns over the last month and to the future.

2. those figures really tell the whole story
First and second in donations of $2,000 or more are Kerry and Edwards, respectively. So THATs what happened in Iowa.

This info also gives a very compelling reason for supporting Dean, Clark or Kucinich.

3. Is this new?
I can't tell if the December figures are in there and I thought they are released 1/31?

5. By the looks of this...
It seems like Dean has the most contributing supporters...by far.

That says it a whole lot to me. And even though I think Clark is more electable, I would be proud to cast my vote for Dean.

6. Grass Roots Index
Dean also gets smaller contributions from more zipcodes than any other candidate.

7. nothing wrong with having rich friends
means you can spend more time campaigning and less time schmoozing.

Kucinich would not turn down big Dem money were he to get the nod.

Worry more about PAC money. They're the ones who get candidate's private telephone numbers.
