Specter thinks the Senate can override B*'s veto on stem cell research

Wouldn't that be great?

I'm smiling just thinking about it

2. I am sure KKKarl Rove will wave his magic wand and all will be
well with the repukes again.
They will follow party lines and let it stand.

4. bush wants something to veto
he knows it looks bad that he hasn't vetoed one thing - he's been looking for something. Think this was done deliberately. bush could give a damn about anyone's health problems.

6. This is NOT deliberate. Spector and Hatch have been SCR allies for years,
and quite vocally.

At the House and Senate level, this is NOT a partisan issue, and I think the SEANTE has enough votes to override a veto anyway. Even the House might muster enough votes to pull it off if the constituencies work the nay-sayers.

I've been on the front lines of this fight long enough to know that those who are in it are in it to win, whichever side of the aisle they are on.

5. This will never happen
The vote in the House was more than 50 short of enough to override a veto.
