3. Say, whatever happened to
social security reform, the next round of tax cuts, the energy policy, and all the other crap that was in the Man-Date?

Down the tubes.

4. SS and GWB are on Magical Mystery Tour Part 2
Apparently part 1 didn't take. So this 'wartime president' is spending his valuable time campaigning the last 4 months. Makes you wonder how he gets all his work done.

7. The signs are . . . where
I know this is gonna spark a thread about nay-sayers and pessimists, but when I see things like:

a major news outlet like Newsweek RETRACTING a story that is confirmed a week later

the press secretary blame the media for riots and deaths then claim a week later he never said that with NO attention given to that LIE

14 neutral senators (by neautral I mean in the center) broker a deal that says no FILLIBUSTER and then letting the extremists through (just in time for a summer confirmation of Bolton and some Supreme Court Judges).

NO ATTENTION given to a memo written in Britian that proves the BUSH administration worked to create intelligence data to support a war in IRAQ on false pretenses

More attention given to steroids in Baseball and women in combat positions then wounded soldiers returning from war

then I'm not seeing a sign that things are getting better.

I feel for it once-sometime around November of Last year, and I won't fall for it again.

8. military madness ?
I don't feel that the U.S. Military is overjoyed at being over burdened by two wars and the prospect of another one with Syria and Iran. The madness is full blown with the Bush Regime.

11. Military Madness ...
a song by Graham Nash

In an upstairs room in Blackpool
By the side of a northern sea
The army had my father
And my mother was having me
Military Madness was killing my country
Solitary Sadness comes over me

After the school was over and I moved
To the other side
I found a different country but I never
Lost my pride
Military Madness was killing the country
Solitary sadness creeps over me

And after the wars are over
And the body count is finally filed
I hope that The Man discovers
What's driving the people wild
Military madness is killing your country
So much sadness, between you and me

9. nope ... won't call you a nay-sayer ...
what i'm seeing, if i'm right, is much more subtle than the Democrats actually WINNING on any of the issues you've mentioned ...

i'm seeing a party that had nothin' to say 'bout nothin' for more than 4 years ... and I see that changing ... i see Democrats talking to Americans for the first time in years ... i see a Party that hopefully will not be pushed around any further ... "oh, so that's where i left my spine ..."

i don't see a raging bonfire ... but i do see a whole lotta sparks and a more than ample supply of wood ...

still, as long as the Party continues to cower from bush's foreign policy, we can never truly seize majority power ... but things are very different now than they were under Daschle ... and Americans are starting to wake up to the partisanship and bigotry of the republican party ... and we sure ain't got no jobs ... and we sure ain't got no recovery ... and we sure ain't got no secure old age ... and we sure ain't got no safety net ... and we sure ain't got no PEACE in the world ... and all-the-while, the republican fat cats keep getting fatter ...

the times they are a-changin ... and the loser now will be later to win ...
