Edited on Tue May-24-05 11:43 PM by Husb2Sparkly
I was pissed in 2000 when they stole it. At least, I thought, 'maybe' they stole it. But then there was Saint Ralph, tellin' everyone 'they're the same' .... so I'm thinkin' .... 'okay, how bad can it be?'

2. Yes, But You're an Excellent Historian
And you've listed the touchstones of the past five-year nightmare.

Don't flip out! Use the energy.

Remember, the pen is mightier than the sword. Maybe you'll end up with the equivalent of the Unabomber's treatise. Maybe you'll end up with a manifesto for an emerging Democratic majority in 2006.

Write it down, 'mon. I'll read it.

3. You're just a liberal, a conscientious citizen, who favors change
You're not a radical. If you were a socialist (note the anarcho-socialist star in my sig), yeah, then I'd consider you a fellow bona fide "radical." You are just disenfranchised. (Welcome to my world)

4. The thing is, Husb....
...it doesn't have to be this way. None of it. And we could all win. The super rich can be super duper rich if they want. But they want more and more and all - plus war, pain and hell. And on top of that they want us to eat shit and like it. But none of it has to be that way. What's killing me is that I know it doesn't have to be this way.

I'm beginning to think that it's not going to take a draft because enough is f'n enough.

6. You're right ... even a completely 'live and let live' world
would give the haves all they have.

But they want ours, too.

Fuck them.

I'm not gunna take it any more.

7. I"m just now listening to Bernie Ward and it gets worse
He's got one of the premier attorney's in the Bay area. They're talking about pension plans and how much trouble the country is in.

I'm reminded of something Senator Inhope said in response to Senator Byrd. Byrd was talking passionately about the nuclear option and he asked 'what did they want', meaning the Republicans. And Inhope answered - "We want more!". What the hell was that, Husb? No one ever mentioned it after that but it keeps coming back to me. No matter what they get - they'll want more.

They want nothing left for anyone but them

The simple fact is .... they really do hate us.

Not dislike.

Not want to win.

15. That projection thing going on again
Hannity asks why "we" hate America. Meantime, it's them that hate American progress. Who the hell else is even going to care to discuss French door fridge's, I ask ya?! ;) Who is going to buy the big cars? Certainly not the Chinese who work for 30¢ a damned hour. And I dare proffer that it won't even be our European friends. It's us or just about nobody else.

Things are so demented these days.

5. Welcome to the Light!
I would say that you were channeling the spirits of my departed grandpa and great uncle, as well as sundry other relatives. However, since you did not know them, I say welcome to the club. In their memory, and for the sake of children living and not yet born, it is time to be rightously angry. Then we channel the anger.

10. But if all seven Repubs side with the Dems
Edited on Wed May-25-05 02:15 AM by LittleClarkie
because Frist is reneging on their agreement already, he won't have the votes to go nukular, will he?

I should think that would at least be a possibility. He'd be trying to make fools of them.

Well, actually, considering when his office was contacted last night, he said there was a deal, then going back on it already will make a fool of him.

I wonder how the gentlemen's agreement will hold up if Frist decides to be an asshat.
