But don't minors in most jurisdictions have to get some sort of parental/guardian approval before ANY surgical procedure (outpatient or otherwise) can be performed?

even many people who are pro-choice think an underage child should notify a parent before having an abortion. There's not a lot of wiggle room on this one.

9. I hate this issue. I believe that if a "child" & a parent have a good,

close relationship the "child" would most likely seek the parents help in such a huge decision. If they don't seek the parents help, I would imagine there is a reason why.

When my son broke his collarbone in a hockey game, no doctor could even x-ray him without my permission.

Abortion is too important a decision to let minors make the call on their own.
