Going to meet Howard Dean tomorrow.
This is not the first time I have met the good Governor but it will be the first time I really let him know how displeased I am. I am grateful for the opportunity to express my views. I work hard for the Party and feel I have a right to express my displeasure with recent statements of the Chair. Anyone have any questions or statements they would like to address? I am going to include various thoughts in a letter to hand him in case I forget to include some verbally!

4. I don't agree with his strategy.
And I don't think that Centrism is the way to go.I am offended by many of his recent comments that do do reflect either myself or many in the Dem Party. JMHO.

12. YES, please ask why...
no one is really supporting John Conyors on the voter fraud issue.

Saw him in Lowell last Saturday, and it WAS NOT an issue. Phil Johnson the MA Dem party chairman spoke to us volunteers, Fri night and he said something like {JK lost because a lack of organization at the grass root level} I yelled out, "And voter Fraud" He made like he didn't hear me..just completely ignored me" then changed the subject.

Side note- after which I saw another woman in front of me, get reallly perturbed, and told my mom that we had to meet that woman. Turns out she and her friend are from DU HI SUE, HI DIANE!

No one in the DEM party wants to talk about it!!!!

Tell Howard that, although many of us like him, we just cannot support the Dem party if they ignore this issue! I'm crafting a letter to him now to tell him I'm leaving the party. We were told by some others in the party that WE, the grass roots needed to tell the party leaders how we feel, but, WHAT ABOUT THE FRIGGEN LEADERS LEADING for a change?

22. Hey! How are you? How cool is it to hang with your Mom at the convention
You guys are a hoot! But you're right - it's discouraging to think about working hard for a candidate, only to find it was all decided anyway. As we discussed Friday, I know lot of people who really think it doesn't matter who's running or what the issues are. There's no confidence in the system. Until we address that, the rest is pointless.

30. Yes! There are TWO things to support Conyers for:
1) his vote fraud complaint, and

2) his demand that bush come clean about the Downing Street Documents. They CONFIRM what many of us have suspected from the get-go, that bush had the intel doctored to support the decision he'd already made to invade Iraq - which he repeatedly lied (to Congress, the American people, and the rest of the world) and said he hadn't made yet. He's a LIAR. We've all said it for years now. We're not afraid to say so. Dr. Dean ordinarily doesn't mince many words, either.

It's time, especially for a leader like Howard Dean, to come flat out and use the "L" word. bush LIED. Can we FINALLY stop beating around the bush - as it were? bush LIED. That's the whole story. The final word. The last straw.

Those who bought into the war, or thought they had to support it and be team players and good soldiers and patriots and all the rest of it MUST NOW DECLARE: "...because I TRUSTED my president, and he LIED to me."

It's time to bring up the Downing Street Documents. There's just no excuse. It's time. It's time to bring it up again. And again. AND AGAIN. Until EVERYONE answers for them. The blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis and "coalition" members and American troops are on every one of these liars' hands. And they MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. Howard Dean needs to bring that up, and never let it down. He's uniquely positioned to do this, and start the ball rolling. He once said the only way we lose is if we give up. Now, it's time for the Good Doctor to follow his own advice.

AND NO SECOND OPINIONS!!!!!

became vocal and visible about election fraud. Even if it places some of their own at risk.

8. No compromise on Social Security! Please!
NOTHING good can come from tampering with SS during this administration. It will only open the door to the GOP plunderers waiting to destroy it. I think this is Dean's position, and I'd implore him not to change it.

27. Ditto! Dems in Congress need to coordinate their message opposing
Bush's Rightwing wacko judges. Dems on the Hill need to have a strong counter message to the Repukes labeling the Dems as the Party of "No" but Dems also need to show unity in message as well as in voting.

18. I second that
And if Dean himself thinks his job going to small audiences is more important, or whatever he's doing-fine. Let him do what he thinks he needs to do.

BUT: find us an attack dog of truth and find him soon. Get him/her on TV everyday telling the truth. Everyday, every show non-stop.

The downing Street Memo

The truth about Abu Gharib-goes right up to Rumsfeld

The truth about social security

The truth about the relaxed standards that are polluting our water, our air.

We are not in the miniorty. Stop believing that. We know we are not the miniority and the values of decent air, not tortuing in our name, caring for our elders and NOT lying to the American people-those are some pretty basic values.

26. Tell Dean he's doing a GREAT job as DNC Chair
And that most of us know that Kucinich lied about him switching his position on Iraq. Also Barney Frank is a jerk for defending Tom Delay and bashing the DNC Chair. Like Kucinich, Frank is jealous of Dean's popular support.

Keep giving Delay and Frist Hell, Howard and ignore the jealous Leftwing wackos who never liked you anyway. Love that new DNC Ad about Frist.

31. I'll remember what you say about Howard if Barney Frank ever visits my
workplace. I work in Massachusetts and my workplace invites Massachusetss politicians to visit constiuents who work for my employer.

I'll go into the meeting to let him know how displeased I am with him bashing Dean on Faux News. I'll award Frank the "Joe Lieberman Dem Basher award" and tell him that while I'm not a resident of Massachusetts, I still end up paying taxes in Massachusetts (CT tax rate is 0.5% less than Massachusets' tax rate), so I have the right to express my views about him bashing Howard Dean on Faux News. I'll also let him know that I'm the secretary of my town's Dem Committee and it was Howard Dean, not myopic Dems like him and Lieberman, who inspired me to help rebuild the Dem Party from the grassroots up.

36. Since he'll be spending Sunday morning with Russert.

And since the meme that has been going around for a year and a half now is that Howard Dean is "over the line", tell him to bring a long, long list of outrageous things the Republicans called Clinton during the 90s, e.g. "rapist" to better defend himself. Because you know Russert is going to spend the entire show trotting out alleged examples of Dean being over the top. Given the crap the Republicans have been spewing the past twenty years this should be a slam dunk.
