2. Wait... he is not saying that...
He is discussing how DOD approved it... what he is addressing is that Newsweek or Isacoff stood up for themselves... what he is doing is presenting the story and how it developed.

6. If this is true, perhaps I was
a bit hasty. I did not however as someone else suggested 'cherry pick'. I happened to be listening and was delinquent in switching over to Thom Hartmann after the Stephanie Miller show ended. I listened to his opening remarks then switched. Perhaps I made this post in haste, and perhaps I did not give him a chance on this particular issue, but there is a reason I switch to Hartmann. I will defer to your post however as I trust you, and retract my statement in this particular instance.

cherry picking.

If Isikoff should quit because he did his job poorly (i.e. made a mistake) because of incorrect info he was given (i.e. "lies"), why is Bush still president? A whole lot more people died because of the Bush mistake(s).

On the other hand, if Bush isn't required to step down, neither is Isikoff.

On edit: yeah i prefer Jerry, I find Franken a bit too "moderate."

I used to like Franken but it got old after a while. Jerry's show is always good.

5. I was so proud of Big Al and his involvement in Air America,
Edited on Tue May-17-05 11:36 AM by EST
as well as his willingness to stare down/take down some of the Reich-wing bigots, but he has been straying farther and farther into the camp of the crazies. Guess this confirms his decision to run for office, sigh. I don't wish him ill, but, if he can't read the shift in the prevailing winds and see the ultimate crash of the bastard band and their village idiot in the coming backlash, piss on him.
With any luck, in a couple years anyone to the right of McCain won't be electable to the proverbial dogcatcher's exalted office.

LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!

(Sorry for the caps, but I really did shout it.)

8. Al and HIDEOUS Katherine
Between Al boy being a butt boy for his Senate bid and that hideous laugh and nonsense of katherine they are destroying Air America. They get all the publicity while the REAL shows like randi and Garofolo are always given 2nd bid for tours etc..... I hope he runs and wins and GET HIM OFF Air America...

10. They get far and away the biggest ratings at AAR. It can be argued that
they are keeping AAR afloat.

15. Nobody on AAR gets better ratings than Randi, including Al.
Why do you think they have her on afternoon drive, the most coveted slot in radio.

He's still a moderate, but at least he's talking about the serious and important issues now. Nice to finally have you on board Al!

12. The last time I listened
He very sheepishly floated Centrist Dem talking points that Allawi was a sort of okay guy. That was the end of that, I never tuned in again.

But Amy Goodman...now she walks on water. :)

Gosh guys.. Al-CIAda said that maybe they jumped to conclusions..

It's really sad to see so many people jump on Al even before Al-CIAda has a chance to retract.

Sheesh... :(

20. I've had to listen to people like Rush, Glenn Beck, and other
hate radio people for so long! Then got XM. I think maybe the DUers that bash left-wing radio hosts have had good left radio to listen to for a while. I think Al is terrific most of the time. I love about anyone that isn't a reicht-wing hate radio, even if they are a little more moderate than I am.

I am overjoyed to be able to listen to Al, Randi, and all other AAR. Thanks to DU, I can stream other lefties, too.

23. Franken impressed me on Maher's "Real Time" on Friday.
He seemed to be aware of things -- and was genuinely hilarious a few times. I thought his bit on Gannon was priceless. And the Santorum thing was brilliant. I'd been down on Franken for awhile, but he won me back over Friday night. (I think he'll wipe the floor with Coleman in '08).
