Is Newsweek to be a scapegoat for the Afghanistan insurgency?
In spite of the fact that Richard Myers said that there was no connection between the article and the insurrection in Afghanistan, the White House has pinned the outbreak of violence squarely on the shoulders of Newsweek. Now, we all know this was simply just more B.S. but maybe we're not looking deep enough into what this effect will have if and when Afghanistan begins to go the way of Iraq, spiralling into complete and utter chaos.

Now, from what I've heard, the Iraqi Insurgency is sort of a unique case, historically speaking, in that the insurgency coalesced so quickly. Within one year, the "Terrorists" had infiltrated the country and with in Two years the Insurgents, Rebels, whatever they are calling them now have pretty much thrown the entire country into disarray. Historically speaking, insurgencies take a bit of time to get mobilized, organized, and funderized. Afghanistan seems to be on the verge of open Terrorist/Insurgent hostilities. They have had the time, they have had some great years in Opium production so they have the capital, they have a willing neighbor in Iran and North Korea to send them weapons, so has our media started an insurgency in Afghanistan like the White House claims or is Newsweek and the rest of the MSM going to take yet another one deep in the ass for God and Country? Will this irresponisble act by Newsweek prompt our government to finally take action and silence this clearly liberal and reckless media? Will the Bush Adminstration have a reason to shut up the press in regards to prisoner abuse? Will the Bush Adminstration have a scapegoat for the mealstrom of violence about to break in Afghanistan? Will Jessica Tate finally discover Corrine is in love with a Preist and Danny is in bed with the Mafia? Will the Colonel ever realize that damn dog is dead? Tune in next week for the next exciting episode of SOAP!

1. Nightline is putting the blame on US Policy in Afghanistan.
Saying the Afghans don't trust the American government. Great show so far.
