I read a post the other day in regards to CSPAN
and the phone in questions it has been recieving. The poster asked whether anyone had noticed the number of "Democratic" callers who would proceed to slam anything Democratic leading them to wonder whether the Repubs were making a concerted effort to jam the phone lines claiming they were Democrats.

Well, I listened with those ears today and it was incredible. 90% (I am not exaggerating) of the callers claiming to be Democrats proceeded to jump full force into the Republican talking points. It was incredible. This made any topic being discussed a forum for the Repub line of the day. (And they DO recite their lines over and over and over again like good little soldiers.)

Tune in and test it out for yourself. In my opinion, we need to get on this problem quickly.

1. that's been true ever since Shrub took over
don't bother to complain--they just get sniffy and deny it, claiming they do everything possible to be fair, and that both sides do it (calling on the opposite party's line and then savaging them)

And no, you're not exaggerating.Add to that the number of times Pukkkes call in on the Dem line and simply hang up. The moderator goes to the next line (a Republican caller. Scratch one opposition call.

There's a few other tricks they do, but the worst is Brian Lamb. There are several threads here today furious at Brian for changing the subject after a caller had asked a RW guest to comment on the so-called British memo.

2. Yeah; they really hate it when we point these things out...
It's the only thing they ever show any emotion over.

3. Everyone acts like Lamb's politics are a mystery but he's a puke
He's by far the worst. I haven't been watching Washington Journal as consistently recently but will try to, just to see if you're right. It seemed to me the last time I was watching on a regular basis that both sides did this -- calling into the wrong line or hanging up.

4. I always use Focus on the Families media blaster when I want to
tell my reps not to vote for something. Since they're all in NC (fundie R-ville), I figure there's a better chance that they'll pay attention if it comes from one of their "base".

Now if I could get another 50,000 folks doing the same thing, wonder how many RePug congresscritters would get the idea that *cough*real*cough* people don't like what this malAdministration is doing, that it's not just "those libruls" up in arms again.
