1. They would claim that the real Osama is fatter

than the one on the video with Bush and Cheney.

2. The video could show chimp, Cheney, and

Bin Ladin in a threesome and it wouldn't make any difference to the rabid right. Limpballs and Hannity would come up with a justification or excuse and the episode would be quickly forgotten.

3. Sweetheart, It is all about personal greed and arrogance

Have you really ever listened to the reasons these people give for supporting Bush? It's either that they are just plain stupid (sorry, unable to read, unable to think, unable to make decisions or process information, unable to move information from short-term to long-term memory--something organic) or they are just plain greedy.

I was a greeter outside a poll on election day 2004 in Sarasota, Florida. There was a young man there who was representing some guy running for judge. The kid was a social worker who had been accepted to law school the following fall. There was a Kerry-Edwards guy standing with us. When the Kerry-Edwards guy realized that the kid was for Bush, he started talking to him, trying to understand his position.

Finally the guy in exasperation said, "You mean you would be willing for 1 million innocent men, women, and children or more to die if it would mean that gas would go below a dollar?!?"

The kid answered (and he was most sincere), "Yes."

I could give you example after example, but it all comes down to "mememememememe." It is as though we have spawned a generation of sociopaths.

These people look for excuses (taxes, gun control, abortion, etc.) to rationalize their support of Bush, but the truth is that they are the monkeys with their hands in the traps holding the banana. They won't let go of the banana even if it kills them (and all the rest of us).

4. it wouldn't be shock

and disbelief but actual resistance or retreat from the "attack" on Bush. The first instinct of the hardcore would be that although some deluded ninnies would be peeled off. It would be quite a test if you had the bush voters all together, each one wired in the same room when the tape was played.

We still have people less monstrous who like Nixon even with knowledge of his vices and faux pas- none worse than LOSING power. Bush voters are cavorting in the Malebolgia with the Bush Empire stewing in burning oil.
Osama fits in except if he causes them to LOSE.

These are instinctual people not rational because reality is against them.
