Here it is. The smoking gun. The memo that has "IMPEACH HIM" written on it
This week The top-level British government memo marked "SECRET AND STRICTLY PERSONAL," dated eight months before Bush sent us into Iraq, following a closed meeting with the President, reads, "Military action was now seen as inevitable.
Bush wanted to remove Saddam through military action justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."

Read that again: "The intelligence and facts were being fixed...."

The memo, uncovered this week by the Times, goes on to describe an elaborate plan by Bush and Blair to hoodwink the planet into supporting an attack on Iraq knowing full well the evidence for war was a phony.

3. "Impeach him" is NOT gonna happen.
what part of that do people not get? GOP/corporate controlled congress, and the line of succession = same ol shit no matter what.

The ONLY way to clear the neocons out is to take away their vote counting toys and methods of dissuading voting in highly DEM areas.
Work on what might actually help and give up on the pipe dream tha impeachment will save our asses.

14. agree. This memo has been out there for over a week, Conyers sent
around a letter demanding answers (88 co-sponsers)--and cnn covered this all of 20 seconds. that is the jest of the coverage. (although it has been in the press)

8. You gotta replace the GOP in congress to impeach him.
Maybe after 2006 but I doubt it.

7. Bush could be caught on film...
Edited on Mon May-09-05 09:06 AM by mike_c
...buggering Michael Jackson's children while biting the heads from live kittens and the MSM would find a way to praise him for his "decisive leadership." Impeachment? Not in this lifetime. History will remember that Clinton was impeached for being reticent about discussing consensual extra-marital tomfoolery, while shrub's crimes against humanity went unremarked by Congress and the media.

bush is a legal terrist with more in score for the US Citizen..

bush has gotten every thing he asks from congress and the courts and the lootin of SS is next..

Patriot Act will stop most dissent and further intensify this police state..

11. They (Congress) won't impeach because they are not Americans-US.
Edited on Mon May-09-05 09:29 AM by higher class
They are a government onto themselves. A certain percentage of their base find nothing wrong with the man that God sent them and the other per-cent have an agenda of power and greed by theft, lies, and takeover and making use of the faith-in-Bush-at-any-cost people.

The only way out is for some Republicans to find their conscience - including the Democrats who are with them.

Other Democrats have their hands full fighting them on all sub-levels.

Then there is the problem of impeaching a marionette - the string-pullers are still at it.

12. Wouldn't that be a disaster?
Then we'd have Dick Cheney as president, and the Republicans could hand-pick their 2008 presidential candidate. I don't know if I like that scenario.

16. I'm certain Speaker Hastert will begin impeachment proceedings
immediately. After all, he and the rest of the House Republican leadership are honorable men, right? :sarcasm:

Keep on dreaming about Republicans impeaching Bush if it makes you feel good. I prefer to dream about winning the lottery. Since I don't have any tickets, our odds of success are about equal.
