I don't even have to comment on this video clip, in Windows Media Video format courtesy of the Randi Rhodes show, of Pat Robertson critiquing his own performance and receiving helpful advice during a break on the Larry King show. It explains so much about how the religious right, the right wing, and their bullshit, prepackaged media enablers works, where questions exist only as the prelude to an unrelated monologue and "balance" means acceptable bias.

Of course, folks like Pat are just doing God's work, none of this is politically motivated, oh no sir. Except that you can get bounced from your wingnut fundy church for not supporting George W. Bush, the Iraq war, the anti-gay agenda and, of course, Gunship Jesus.

Incidentally, you will notice that the same wingnuts overly concerned about "balance" (read: elimination of views opposite theirs) aren't exactly lining up to reestablish the Fairness Doctrine.

watched the clip and am wondering about the logistics of this particular clip reaching outside the Larry King loop. Someone must have released it knowing it was noteworthy. Apparently, we are not the only ones who are outraged at this crap. Makes me wonder what we would see if more clips like this were released. Maybe then some would stop drinking the KoolAid. I don't know.

6. Well, Robertson and his "handler" were trashing the segment producer...

...so maybe the segment producer turned his head the other way while the tapes of the raw feed got e-mailed around to a few folks.

It's just a nice, compact, self-explanatory clip to have around the next time someone starts putting Robertson up on a pedestal.

It is mind boggling to me how the flock can follow a mortal man who cannot/will not walk the talk of Jesus Christ, the one he calls his Savorier. Just because he has managed to become a media sensation (for lack of a better word) does not mean he and his ilk are not wolves in sheep clothing.

Name-calling, disrespecting and de-valuing God's children is not Christian. No one can justify this by claiming it is a means to a more moral society. They will never achieve their moral society by being immoral. It just doesn't work that way. You have to walk the talk despite the pre-conceived mal-doings of others.

Whether one believes in God or not, in the eyes of God: we are all God's children. It is that simple.

This type of Christian will be knocked off their high horse one day soon. It's too bad, though, that they are hurting so many people and our country along the way.

Mykeru has a link to a videoclip of Pat Robertson on Larry King Live where they caught Robertson talking to one of his aides during a commercial break when they didn't think they were being taped.

Says Mykeru:
