2. I sent this to all my friends with this.
Friends,

We live in a scarier world by the moment. We’ve painted ourselves into a corner by selecting the non-threat in Iraq over facing down North Korea who actually has Weapons of Mass Destruction. Now we expect Russia, China and Japan to do our dirty work for us.

Post-9/11 has consumed Americans with fear and because of this the war mongering hawks in Government have found a way to secure billions, even trillions of our tax dollars on military projects. They don’t always account for where it goes, like when they lost $1 Trillion of our dollars and Bush swore up and down he would fix the situation(but didn’t), and then the recent loss of $100 million allocated to Iraq. But hey, we’re safer right? Oh wait there’s all those nuclear power plants we’re not even guarding or the ports we’re not checking, but hey who’s counting right?

The problem I have is we seem to point the finger at anyone who has nuclear weapons and say they have no right to have them. Maybe we don’t want to live in fear of being nuked, but again maybe we shouldn’t have the largest stockpile of nukes in the world to make others live in fear either.

All the while we demand others to get rid of their nukes we actually have an administration that for three years has been pushing for more.

The point of this e-mail is to start to look at ourselves before we cast blame onto others.

Watch this video then send this around to your friends. Maybe we can start to expect the end of nuclear proliferation from everyone else when we start to eliminate the humongous, unneeded stockpile we have and use that money to do some good in this country. The video is a stark wake-up call for people that may not have known exactly how overboard our nuclear stockpile has become.

That is if Republicans would even let anything good get through since all they care about is creating their own so-called “nuclear option” by banning filibusters. All so they can push through extremists to government posts everywhere. It’s about keeping the crazies in charge, after all.
