Fla. Drivers' Licenses to Feature 17 Layers of Security
New Fla. Drivers' Licenses to Feature 17 Layers of Security 04 May 2005 --New drivers' licenses become a high-tech ID --New Florida drivers' licenses, which roll out in Pinellas County this week and in the rest of the state by the end of the summer, have 17 layers of security to protect against identity theft and to aid law enforcement and national security. Some features can be detected only under ultraviolet light. Some require specialized security equipment.

3. Sounds like RFIDs are in them
that is OK as long as you know it. But I think they are trying to hide it.

4. Sounds like it's time to...
get those magnets out. And just for good measure, wrap the damn thing in heavy duty aluminum foil before putting in your wallet.

Mine doesn't expire until 2010, but I'm willing to bet that they mail me a new "securified" one anyway.

7. But think about
WallyMart...

You go into WallyMart and pick up groceries and other goods. You check out and go to pay with your debit card. You (male) go into your back pocket and pull out your wallet which also has your Florida DL. You pick out your Debit card and swipe it. And while you are doing this, your friendly WallyMart credit card machine is reading your RFID from you wallet which is next to the machine as you get out your debit card.

Now WallyMart not only has your debit card info but any other info like your home address from your DL.....

:scared: :scared: :scared:
