Someone asked her what might be funny about her life in the White House and she told the person and it was exaggerated into jokes. But, as with many jokes, it is only funny to the extent it is true. The bits about W going to bed early and leaving her up alone and Barbara Bush meddling and being like Don Corleone of the godfather -- probably true. The bits about Chippendales -- ridiculous. The bit about how different she is from W and how they must have been destined for each other because she lived 12 hours a day in a library and she still met him -- probably true. Also the bit about the fact that she can pronounce "nuclear," -- clearly true.
