2. Pharmists role is NOT to dispense drugs that cause harm but also
some pharmacists bring in their personal issues.

3. pharmacists should decide before what there stance is on an issue-such
as the morning after pill BEFORE-they get into the situation. Now that is the best advise I have heard so far!!

5. Women is from the American Pharmacists Assoc. Really only a few
incidents where pharmacists have said I am not to give you these pills because it will KILL the baby.

7. She says a pharmist can step away and let another pharmacist handle
a patient who wants BC pill. It does not have to esculate to a major problem.

8. caller in says a perscription is between the Doctor and Patient and NOT
the pharmacist. She is right on.

9. Wincker says the pharmist is the 'safety net'--between the pt and the Dr.
Pharmist role is to work with dr and pt. to prevent problems.

10. caller in is talking of Viagra for younger men-this is not being made
an issue. Says this is a moral issure also--Viagra.

11. just to clarify-this caller is talking of youger men to get Viagra-so that
if they happen to drink too much they can still get an erection. She says she works in the 'drug industry' and that Viagra was never intended for this group of men!!

14. caller in saying her activist group has tried to work with particular
pharmacies and have withdrawn support. Good for her! and her group in S. Calif.

16. talked of how some provinces in CA where can by-pass Dr. and dispense
the morning after pill (Europe does this for years). The drug is safe, it is just the Bush adm. interfering (my opinion).

18. she said her association do not allow pharmacists to ignore pt/dr
request to dispense certain drugs. Instead she says they advocate stepping away and letting another pharmist deal with the issue.
