Came in when he was talking about North Korea's nukular weapons.

The streamofconsciousness speak is pretty bizarre. So nonsensical I can't follow it. The non-stop "wingin-it" style must be influenced by the wire in his ear--- stringing together random phrases as they enter the ear canal and travel to the brain while his lips are moving-- or his jaw is jerking when he pauses to pretend to look down at notes (looked like a seating chart).

Did they even talk about Bush War II at all?

:nuke:

1. Minimally. He wouldn't commit to timetable for troop withdrawal.
Said that ridiculous comment that revealing timetable would tip our hand to the terrorists/insurgents. Blah blah dictatorship to democracy blah blah blah.

2. "We at War"
was the only comment I heard Bush make, in response to the question about "rendition."

Seems like the war in Iraq is an abstraction to most folks now, disappeared from Big Media, front pages, newscasts....

Daddy Bush started the Iraq War franchise, not that long ago, a mere decade and change. Clinical warfare, censored news, government pooled news feeds....tonight Biff Bush bounced the whiffle ball around to amuse the audience, while the Man Behind the Curtain calls the shots.

The weird "Entertainment Tonight" style newsclones on ABC that popped up after the speech add to the sense tonight of living in a science fiction....

3. Then why did Rummy say we'd likely be out in 4 years
Echoing Kerry, btw, if they don't want to give a timetable?

5. they mentioned that the insurgency is at the same strength it was
2 years ago.

they also mentioned that terrorism is higher throughout the world now.

they asked him if he thought that having so many troops tied up there kept the US from being able to tend with other matters like N. Korea.
He said he asks his advisor that question and they said no.

they asked about pulling out troops. Of course they won't give an answer to that.

thats about all I can remember
