Consumer Confidence drops
for 3rd month in a row, and I for one have quit using credit cards, and because of the bankruptcy bill that passed, I for one am doing all I can to pay down my debt instead of running up more debt, so maybe that would explain the drop in consumer confidence?

1. That and the high unemployment rate.
Even worse, if you take into account "underemployment"

2. Or maybe costs are going up while pay is stagnant at best?
For Gawd's sake, it costs more than $5 for a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk. Pay at my company is frozen (even though every quarter posts better and better profit).

It's generally believed that people live within their paycheck, month to month. When every day costs like groceries and gas go up and your pay stays the same, month to month ain't working.

8. Was your CEO's pay frozen?
Two years ago I worked for a company where stellar workers got 3% & officers got 5%. Now that's not as big a discrepancy as some companies, but if worker pay is frozen, officer/management pay should be as well.

3. With My UpComing Layoff

My confidence is low. My wife and I are soaking away every penny for a trip to Liverpool England we have been planning.....its real hard with gas prices in Washington State being at $2.77 a gallon

5. I haven't been paid in two months.
I guess that means I'm laid off for the fourth time since the coup of 2000.

I won't use a credit card again.

6. Question..
Isn't this affecting Republicans too?

How can they vote like that when this always happens to them and us?

7. don't try to understand republicans.
all you need to know is that the united corporate dominion is trying and succeeding at driving down the standard of living here in the u.s.

the average american is filled to the gills with hate and superstition -- how can you argue with that?

9. total economic collapse
Isn't that what the Republicans are pushing for?

When the happens the world's economy will be in the toilet and their powers can expand outside the US.
