I turned off the Daily show for the first time tonight.
All it took was about 10 seconds of looking at Dennis Millers grinning mug, and I was about to heave dinner.

I did click back in time for "Our moment of Zen" to see the sign that said "Make Tom Delay My Bitch".

1. Wow, this sounds interesting.
We don't get it out here on the west coast for another half-hour.

3. Well, the first 15 minutes were the usual good stuff
But I just couldn't stomach Miller.

21. And that is exactly what we ended up doing.
We (Hubby and I) watched the first fifteen minutes, and then turned it off when Miller came on.

20. I'm in Temecula, Ca, just north of San Diego, ..
on DISH satellite (it is the same on DIRECT).

I believe it initially comes on at 8 PM, but no one ever watches it then.

4. OMG!!!! I Just Came On The End Of That Show....He Looks BAD
I actually was fascinated....it's been a LONG time since I've seen that guy and couldn't get over how DESPERATE he looked. Laugh at me I'm funny!

He kept saying "I'm a Libertarian about everything, I only agreed with Bush about the war." Bull SHIT! He kissed Bush's ass plenty last election, total Bush brown-noser. Stewart tried to get him to talk about "having eggs with Bush" and man did Miller ever change the subject, doing this ridiculous stand-up routine a mile a minute. What a loser. He better get used to speaking at corporate events because that's what he's gonna be doing as soon as they get around to taking that CNBC show of his off life support.

22. Your play-by-play report is perfect!
Millertime was pleading with Stewart's audience to forget all of that "Let's just nuke 'em" crap he spewed before his 15 minutes were up.

The well of BushCo speaking events must've dried up.

23. I Remember DM Saying He Refuses To Even JOKE About Bush.
Comedian with nightly current affairs oriented show refuses to make jokes about the President because "he likes the guy." I remember all of that and when I look at Dennis Miller now he looks like not only the biggest Bush Whore ever, but one who cannot admit he was wrong about a lot of the things he supported Bush ON.

Particularly disgusting: him saying Kerry was a "chess" player wanting to weigh everything and he prefers "checker" player Bush who just "jumps the bad guys" without too much thought. Great. Let's see how that goes over in Walter Reed amputation ward, the people who will be paying the rest of their lives for Bush's little checker game. And Miller can just get his spoiled brat Santa Barbara kids in the ROTC and ready to fight all those oil wars he is so in favor of. I really, REALLY can't stand that guy!!

7. Miller had some great lines.
First one was "I wish I had this kind of audience". He mumbled something about how he was for the Iraq invasion and he trusted Bush. Another was how they bus in his audience. Apparently not to many people actually have an urge to see him in person.

11. Dennis Miller could have been a contender
but he took the road more-moneyed and that has made all the difference.

Miller is dead inside.
Jon did not speak ill of the dead.

12. Jon looked seriously worried (looks, watching it now)
There's nothing like being stuck on stage with someone who is out of control.

I won't even guess. It's just sad. Hope he finds a way back,

15. I hope he sits in his garage with his engine running...
When ever I see him, I race for the remote as fast as possible and turn on C-Span. Actually, I don't want him to sit in his garage with the engine running, I just want him to drive away and never come back.

13. I watched Dennis Miller and his little showing on the Daily Show
After seeing it I can only say one thing.

This is what happens when a Comedian decides to try experimental brain surgery on themself.

16. Yeah, and there's some stand ups that just don't give good
conversation. Miller used to be a great ranter. Two way exchange? It isn't going to happen.

My partner says, "There are no normal comedians. We need to be up on stage, under a spot AND amplified while you all sit in the dark and can't talk. I feel more comfortable talking to 5000 people than I do talking to you." And, he means it. :)

19. Guh-ross. Not Funny, Looked Like Crap
Does this count as a "pity" guest spot?
Does that count as a "I vas chust followink orders" excuse?

And he was on for HALF the damned show. My attention drifted away, and finally I got up and left until the thing was over.

Oh, that darn Liberal Media. It's their fault Miller's a burned-out whore tumbling into the gutter.

24. I couldn't take it, either.
I feel you. As I've posted elsewhere, Dennis going to the dark side is hella sad. It's almost like a betrayal. I've even got forgiveness--or at least acceptance--for the ex who left after the miscarriage, but Dennis? Fuck him. He can freeze to death out in the cold after this country finally wakes up. True, there might not be much of a country left by then but Turncoat Miller won't be a part of its entertainment circuit. His family will be better off.
