Of course, these pigs are eating this up!

Not quite the gentlemanly thing to do, but then again, she's no lady and had it coming.

Napalm would have been better.

Read this on Drudge earlier...made my day.
I couldn't have said it any better, Mr. Smith!

It would have been alright if it would have been boy scouts or military personnel.

I would love to shake this guys hand and THANK him for doing what so many people would have loved to have had the chance to do to this traitorous witch.

I'm disappointed that he'd choose this method of expressing his disapproval. (Seems a bit "liberal" to me.)
And I'm disappointed to see fellow L-dotters who seem to think it's okay to treat somebody we disagree with in such fashion. (Again, it wouldn't be nearly so unusual to see a liberal treating a conservative this way, but I like to think MY people are above such coarse and juvenile behavior.)
I'm no Jane Fonda fan (since "Cat Ballou" anyway), but I'm no fan of Michael A. Smith, either. The guy is a Neanderthal.

I'm with #7. We all condemn the pie throwers. This is no different and it should be treated as assault. I can understand this Vet's disgust with the traitor, but this steps over the line.
As it is, I would still like to thank the vet for his service to his country. You deserved far better than what you received.

I'm with 7. Jane Fonda and John Kerry both encouraged and incited people to figuratively and literally spit on our Viet Nam vets but we shouldn't stoop to their level. Don't buy their books, see their movies, or watch them on TV. Shun them wherever they go.

How about Jane Fonda treating the vets the way she did because she disagreed with them?
Guess that should just be forgotten, right?
Thank you Michael Smith. What's a little tobacco spit compared to the lives of our veterans that Hanoi Jane took so lightly.
I will personally buy you tobacco for any future Fonda book signings.

I wonder how this vet was treated when he returned from duty. I doubt the people that spit on him were arrested.

I love the smell of tobacco juice in the morning...
Actually, we should never condone this sort of thing in our society. Wipe the smiles off your faces and ask forgiveness!
