Now can someone explain to me what the big deal is about this guy?

1. In a word, nothing. He's just another bitter guy who had to turn right

to get any attention. Think of it, right wing academics are at a premium. The dumber your are, the more they like you. I've seen him too and he's uniquely undistinguished and unoriginal.

He said that there are no poor because the poor have a largely obese population, and you can't be both obese and poor. Can anyone who is on food stamps afford to buy healthy foods such as fresh vegetables and fish? Or a healthy dinner of Cornish game hens and artichokes? How about crab legs and a Ceaser salad? No, it's noodles, rice, beans, potatoes, bread. I was disgusted with his remark. He's out of touch with the needy of this country to the point of denial.
