3. Tom Delay issuing a fatwa against judges in a room full of
armed supporters, oh yeah, that sounds safe, i hope judges everywhere have gotten the extra security they need.

4. That's why I left the NRA...
Despite giving Dr. Dean a high rating, they never once offered any endorsement of him for President. When they became, by and large, a Repuke fundraiser, I gave up on them.

he taught us how to shoot and my sister and i became quite good, for the past 10 years or so his hobby has been skeet shooting, he loves italian rifles and more times then i can count he's said "I will never join the NRA"

8.  I love shooting and hunting and USED to be a NRA member but..

The way they are cozying up to the far right extremists and people I consider somewhat unhinged turnd me off. I can see Delay somewhat even though he's a crook, but having Ted Nugent as a speaker. I saw him in concert many times as a kid, but I don't think much of him as a hunter or sportsman. He seems to get into the actual killing too much and not enough into the sport. I think that the way the NRA sucks up to these nuts does them a disservice. I wish us democrats had a pro gun group.

For instance in our area they endorsed Shelly Moore, who may challenge Byrd for the senate over Humphresys in the house race, and Humphreys had a record of being pro gun. I think that when a Dem and Republican run together with the same record they support the Republican.

Also I wrote them during the primary and asked why they weren't endorsing Dean. They never endorse a Dem candidate in the primary it seems.

9. If I was there, I would hand him an M16 and say, "Break it down..."
"...clean it, and put it back together in under 5 minutes or I'm gonna slap you upside the head."

Another draft-dodging RWer. Go figure, huh?

12. Hardly-check this out
Name: Rep. Tom "The Exterminator" DeLay (R-TX)
Born: April 8, 1947
Employer: The U.S. Taxpayer
Conflict Avoided: Vietnam
Notes: One of our most-nominated chickenhawks, Mr. DeLay has said he wanted to serve in Vietnam, but was unable to since all the positions had been taken by blacks and hispanics. We suspect there might be someone in Iraq today who would be willing to trade places with Mr. DeLay ...

11. And if he accidentally shot himself in the process....
...no great loss to the world. Bonus points if it went through his empty skull and into Wayne LaPierre.

14. Fox News keeps announcing they will cover it live.
Now why is DeLay's speech getting so much coverage on Fox? Is this something major, because it seems to me that he gives a speech (with his spin on everything) everytime I hear him. It doesn't surprise me that Fox wants to give him a TV audience - Tom's their kind of guy.
